For those of you who watched David Letterman last night (like I did), you'll recall that Letterman wasn't going to pressure Belichick on the subject of Deflategate as he, himself, thought it was just nonsense. Letterman then said they tested the balls earlier that day and couldn't tell the difference. When he brought up the theory about Jackson possibly taking the intercepted ball to the sidelines and the possibility that someone there deflated the ball, Belichick said “We’re gonna bring you in to testify when we get the investigation next month.”

Here's the article that talks about it: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-may-have-inadvertently-made-news-last-night/

Bill Belichick never does or says anything "inadvertently.". It's all calculated and the trick is determining the "why."

I just deleted it from my DVR but I thought Letterman said the difference was "palpable" meaning they could tell the difference, but he also said it wouldn't matter in a game. I interpreted what BB said about the investigation to mean they would be investigating next month but perhaps he did mean when the report would be released. Ted Wells is doing an admirable job of racking up billable hours.

I'm sure it's a joke - but if Belichick thought for a second his team had done anything wrong, he would not be making that joke.

Or let GRONK keep up his post on the subject.
