Michael Irvin on Tom Brady

lol Michael Irving wanted to take off the suit and run through brick walls for Tom

sounds quite articulate...breath of fresh air

Winners understand

I think that is a good point that is often overlooked. Most athletes think they are the best. I am pretty sure that Chris Carter thinks he is best receiver ever and what did win? Nothing. And a Pats team full of nobodies win 4 superbowls? That must kill him. What makes them better than his teams? Cant't be hard work and dedication. Must be cheating.

Thank you, SVN.

I have always been a fan of Irving. I lived in the Bay Area for 20 years and hated him for so long. But I always admired his ability. Thank goodness SF got Deion in 1994 to take out Irving. And a whole bunch of other great talent* which stopped Dallas from four straight. Aikman is a dolt. I can't imagine how pissed I would be if some texan was trying to compare Aikman to Brady, if Aik had four.

It was cool listening to Irving talking about Rice too, just before that.

I hadn't heard Brady's pregame speech. Here: http://nesn.com/2015/02/tom-bradys-...ction-to-malcolm-butler-pick-are-epic-videos/

A few other sounds of the game there too. (BTW - As far as my link, nothing new. All of which we have seen from NFL films before.)

*Ken Norton jr to spy Emmett (with Gary Plummer as mlb). Ricky Jackson and Richard Dent to get pressure. Great DT tandem with Bryant Young and Dana Stubblefield.

I hadn't heard that Brady speech before. Wow, that was awesome. If you haven't heard it, do it. I love that guy.

The three turnovers stopped Dallas. Irvin went 12/192 and 2TDs in that game and Deion got away with a pass interference call that would have been called in the 70's.

Irvin always has TB & BB's back. When Mediots are out in full bloom he always gives Pats props. I think there'sa part of Irvin that would of liked to catch passes from Brady in a game and as part of a team with him.

Yup! And Irvin reminds Sanders from time to time. I saw them two do a bit with each other on NFLN demonstrating how that play developed, of course each one had their own version. lol

More than part.

Irvin was exuberant in describing how badly he wanted to rip off his suit and get onto the field to catch passes for Brady that Super Bowl Sunday after hearing Brady's speech.

Irvin and Deion respect Brady and are not jealous of his achievements and appreciate his greatness. Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, Ray Lewis, etc... come off like jealous kids who are angry they were beaten.

It's always good to have Sanders and Irvin on the set to call Faulk and Warner out every now and then.

Sanders and Irvin were winners, Faulk and Warner losers. Go figure.

Irvin has always like Brady and stands up for him..Deion loves him and BB a lot as well

Rich Eisen is the only NFLN guy I truly enjoy to listen to but everyone here is correct that Irvin and Sanders always have our backs, they woulda been great here.

Jerry Rice was Classic tho', spewin' his jealousy towards Pats and then sticks his foot in his mouth about usin Stickum and then throws all his players of his era under bus. Irvin said don't put words in my mouth I didn't need any Stickum. Can't make this stuff up! Stay Classy Jerry.

gotta love irvin and prime time. they have always defended tom/NE in general.
