Belichick trolling the Colts lol

Yep--several obvious jabs, including bringing up the 38 point margin etc.

If it wasn't obvious what happened, it certainly is now.

If you listened carefully enough, you could pick up that Letterman thought it was possible that the Colts deflated the football and then accused the Patriots.

Well, yeah, he flat out suggested it!

It's good to see Letterman approaching the different angles and at least being fair.

Which is why I think Belichick agreed to do the show in the first place. I think he appreciates Letterman on some level.

Gotta' admit, for being a Colts fan, that was pretty funny what Letterman said.
"Now here's what I heard: I heard the guy intercepts the pass', and he takes the ball over, hands it to his guy, and he deflates it, then they say "`Hey, look at this ball! It's got no air in it!"

rofl

stop it

ps

schaefer's still the king

Yeah, I don't know why people need to pile on Dave. He's been the best or close for a lot of years IMO. Belichick could have done the equivalent of a lame Doritos commercial with Leno. I, for one, am happy he picked letterman.

Also, lots of people watch some home games without being experts and probably don't watch much preseason. Doesn't mean they don't enjoy it when they have time.

LOLOLOLOLOL... sweet interview.

I love how "incredibly down-home, I don't know football" Letterman was, then he started with the "here's what I heard" stuff and tried to get Bill to let off steam. Actually I think he got more real material out of BB than any other interview I've ever seen.

True. It's something he should have done long ago though.

Well, there seems to be plenty of late night openings if you've got your act together. Outside of Johnny Carson, he probably had as much impact in that slot as anyone and that's a lot of talented people over the years.

No way Letterman knew about that Colts theory himself. Either he has someone on his staff who looked into Deflate Gate thoroughly enough that they're aware of the Schefter report- and I kinda find that unlikely- or he and BB had a more thorough discussion before the show...

I think BB likes someone who admits they don't know **** instead of someone pretending to be an expert. He likes people who stay in their own lanes.

Anyways, from "by 38 points" to randomly bringing up the set-up theory, I'm pretty convinced this whole interview was a somewhat planned attack of the Colts.

Of course Belichick didn't give us a straight-forward answer, but I'm continuing to think that Jonas Gray's disappearance really was all just because Blount was deemed to be the superior player.

Need a link to the video (whenever there's one uploaded)

He talked about it with Louis CK previous to the game. I posted the vid in another thread.

He likes vets, always has. If you're a rookie and you're late for a meeting, you get your **** slapped. If your Revis, you apologize and play the whole game.

It's always been this way. You earn your right to make a mistake and a rookie needs to earn it over the years too.

Case in point Butler. He didn't start, but his play in practice and all year gave him a chance. Gray had a great game. He also had an extra lineman and a fullback in front of him.

He treats everyone different and there is a veteran to rookie pecking order.

Well, good on Dave to mention the Colts Deflated the Outlier Ball Theory.

Still, I'm not resting easy until I see the other 10-12 minutes of that interview.

Shmessy, you can rest easy now buddy....we fuggn won...end of story!

As long as it's a woman doing the slapping, that wouldn't be so bad.... :D
