How do you think Welker feels ?

I don't give a rat's furry ass crack what Wes Welker feels.

This.

WW made a very very bad business decision. He declined the same money(basically) in order to leave a position of extremely high stature, in a place he had a well defined role, with a team that is all about winning/little BS, with a QB/field leader that was as rock solid as they come, away from a geographic area he was well established and almost worshiped (business opportunities would have been significant for him in the wider Boston area)
He opted for the, basically, same money for an uncertain role, with a team he did not have first hand experience with, in an area he was far less known and appreciated in ... and took pot shots at the best damn HC the Patriots have ever had, the one instrumental in his opportunity for success/stardom. JHC if there was a ever a former Patriots' player to say "I don't give a rat's furry ass crack" to it's WW. There are a few other choice phrases that are applicable but instead of saying them :) I'll just say here's to you Wes! Thanks for your time at this stop in your NFL career. It's a good thing to have earned complete financial security for you, your wife and your children. So go out in back of your beautiful vacation lake home and then jump in that friggin lake.

I don't feel bad at all for Welker, he had an offer and took less money to go to Denver. I do feel bad for mankins and I want the pats to give him a ring. There are a few guys on IR that even played less than he did in the preseason. He wore the uniform and should get a ring.

Since he began the season with the Pats I think they could give him one.

Actually wouldn't be shocked if they did in consideration of how long he was with the Pats.

I wouldn't be surprised if they discuss it with him privately to see if he would like one or if it would bother him to get one from the team he had just left and wasn't really part of.

I just hope he hangs it up. He was incredibly douche-y after he left, but I don't want to see him end up with pudding for brains. You made a lot of money, Wes. Go into the sunset.

I think he's quickly coming to the realization that he isn't going to command much attention in free agency, and would be taking on too much of a risk with the concussion history. He was pretty much starting to be phased out of their offense last season when they brought Sanders in during the spring.

Well if he retires as reported he might I wonder if it will be Clayborn ... Parcells ... and Welker as candidates for the Patriots HOF.

Call me a vengeful jerk but I don't see why Welker gets to stab the Patriots in the back, go to a rising AFC power in Denver at a time when it looks like they're going to be our most formidable conference rival in his quest for a ring, then come waltzing back to New England for his red jacket when it all doesn't work out. He went to a Peyton Manning team at a critical time in our quest for a 4th Lombardi.

I just think it's unforgivable.

It worked out fine for us. The Patriots for their 4th Lombardi, Tom got his 4th ring, and Denver embarrassed themselves in the second most watched Superbowl of all time.

But it might have worked out much differently.

Welker can ask Elway for a red jacket. I hope Kraft never gives him one.

Meh, Ty Law went to the Jests and we forgave him eventually. Drew Bledsoe went away mad but now he is solidly back in the fold. Time heals all wounds or wounds all heels, or something like that. I'm not that mad at Welker. As the question of the thread implies, he probably feels like crap right about now.

Well he is married to..

I'm sure it helps take away the pain of not getting a ring.

What? Come on man...

It's understandable that some fans are still mad at what welker himself admitted was a catch he should have caught. I would've loved to see the pats put one over on Eli. Like I said earlier welker could've made millions of catches it's the 1 he dropped that people will remember.

Lots of goats from SB46. And bad luck.

WW was a great player here for many years. Wish he had won a SB, but let's not act like he was an abject failure. He helped us win a lot of games and was a key reason why we were always in competition for a title. Hope he left in time.

it has got to eat Manning alive that he score 8 F***ing points on a Seattle team that was inferior to one that Brady score 28 on.

Probably gonna get hate for this, and I'm not taking anything away from our team, but last years Seattle was better than this years by a large margin.

2014 Patriots' win either Super Bowl though.

Honestly Seattle has a very very overrated defense. It's probably one of the best in the league right now maybe even top 5 but their defense in any year still isn't as good as the 85 Bears or the 00 Ravens. I just can't ever put their team as a whole that far ahead of the pats.

I agree, they played 2nd and 3rd string QBs for much of the season, hell, 4 games in their division alone were against backups and Kaepernick isn't very far ahead of "backup quality" as a passer.

Alex Smith and the NFLs worst receiving corps. Mark Sanchez. Cam Newton and the NFLs 2nd worst receiving corps.

The list isn't impressive.

They were absolutely one of the best, that's not arguable, but they were better in 2013. 2013 was probably a top 15 in history defense, and I'm probably being conservative because I can't name every great defense ever.

Probably 2 guys that are compared to me got it done when I couldn't. Made those key reception when I didn't. I thought I'd have a SB Ring with Broncos & Mannining Not NE I Don't.
I Liked Welker when he was with us but I Luv Superbowl Championships MUCH better.
