This is ULTIMATE GOLD:

Now, a (probably stupid) question:

On the Butler interception play. If I'm not mistaken, that's Belichick in the blue hoodie standing right at the 12 yard line. Can he do that? I always thought coaching staff could not go beyond the 30's.

Not sure if it's the same in the NFL but NCAA and everything I have coached in goes to the 25 yard lines. Any further than that is truly down the referees discretion.

When I was at a high school this year, they allowed a couple of coaches pre-play to be further forward, but he had to retreat once he had communicated and his players were lining up.

Generally if they aren't in the way and impeding the ability of the referee to officiate, from my experience, they give you some margin.

MOVEMENT ON SIDELINES

Article 5

Coaches and other non-participating team personnel (including uniformed players not in the game at the time) are prohibited from moving laterally along the sidelines any further than the points that are 18 yards from the middle of the bench area (i.e., 32-yard lines to left and right of bench areas when benches are placed on opposite sides of the field).Lateral movement within the bench area must be behind the solid six-foot white border.

I'm getting the Wilfork jersey guy. Link isn't working for me. [emoji53]

This reminds of the ESPN guy who copied and pasted a porno link instead of what he actually wanted to.
We know your online habits shmessy.

Don't knock it til you try it! :D

I'm pretty sure that is Belichick at the 12 yard line.

Oh God, Florio's going to want to take the trophy away!

This is funny. My friend from high school posted this. I was going to go to the game with him, but bailed when tickets got to $10,000.

Great find!!

Loved that better quality repeat of the INT in slow motion. We can clearly see Browner and Butler actions. My! What sharpness Butler had in shooting right to the point where he expects the ball to be and muscling out the Seahwks WR.

Unbelievable!!

I spent the weekend watching the game once and the sound bites + Inside the NFL a few times + Mike & Mike and other BSPN post-game shows (including the one where Dilfer takes CC to task). And now this!

Thanks shmessy! :)

My favorite part of this perspective is you can see how bad Wilson sold the route before the snap.
Yes, Butler said he saw Wilson look over. And, if you watch the closeup of Wilson on the play in slomo, his eyes definitely glance over to the right.

To the extent that the OP's question is serious, the answer is that the refs give a certain amount of leeway to HC's. they seem to draw the line at crossing the white line and entering the field of play.

Unless your name is Tom Coughlin.

Irsay just called the Commish after viewing the this nefarious event as he is concerned about the "integrity of the game".... right after he called his "Dr. Feelgood" to get a few more prescriptions filled.
