Seahawks at risk of losing all their fans!

Having to license their iconic "12th man" trademark from another fan base shows how bandwagonish the whole au courant SeaHawks 12th person fad is.
I love the fact that we know that in their hearts that the Seachicken fans will always think of "12" with another dreaded meaning.

Probably should use another number now that 12 will just remind them of the game's mvp.

The original 12th man was really cool. During the Jackie Sherrilmdays at Texas A&M, their kickoff team was comprised of students, not scholarship athletes. Every year they would have tryouts from the student body and I'm pretty sure nobody ever took one back to the house on them. but you had to see those kicks run down the field with reckless abandon.

That's one of the coolest snippets I've heard about college football. Too bad they got suckered into the college football corporate thing and are now too "successful" to continue such tradition.

I hope A&M demands seven figures.
Or, that if the Seahawks are going to continue using it, that they have to cover kickoffs with fans, like A&M did originally.

I don't know why you all need to be salty. I lived in the Pacific NW last year and they're a great bunch of fans.

Considering all the Seahawks have ever done of note that matters to us is beat the Broncos and then lose to us I don't know why anyone would be a bitter butt about the 12th man stuff.

A lot of people having been trashing the NEP lately. We won the Super Bowl and all we hear about is how the legacy is tainted. It's turned into us against the world.

People feel licensed to trash their fans due to the Hawk's bravado, swagger, and chip-on-the-shoulder attitude. Pointing out the hollowness of the fandom knocks them down a peg--and that their team's arrogance is misplaced.

This is funny, but in a sad way. As I said before the game, it was hard to get a good hate on for Seattle. Yes they were hateful, but it was always tinged with a bit of pathetic -ness (aside: is that pathos) that you hated and felt sorry for them at the same time.

I mean Jets, Ravens, Colts, Broncos, Cowboys, Steelers, Bears, Lions, Saints, 49ers, Packers, Raiders, Eagles, Giants, and Dolphins would be easier to hate without feeling a little bit sorry for.

I don't hate Seattle even with their brash talk.
I think it's cathartic for us to have harmless fun at their expense.
It's been two frustrating last minute SB losses in the 10 years since the 2004 Champs.
Why not enjoy the moment with a little over the top exuberance?
These moments may never come again in many of our lifetimes. Carpe Diem!

I'm pretty sure that you meant "hollowness."

It's hilarious how badly spell check mangles our posts and we don't often even notice it.

20% of all Seahawk fans switched to Pats fans after the final play to begin the celebration.

This is down from a 30% increase after the first play of last years Superbowl.

Perhaps we really should lighten up a bit on those poor folks. After all, the prospect of losing your fan license is serious stuff.

He knows. Sardonic.
