Love all those "fans"that bought the #12 Jersey with some BS written above. Give it 3 years they won't be fans..

Heh. It is to laugh. :)

I don't know why you all need to be salty. I lived in the Pacific NW last year and they're a great bunch of fans.

Considering all the Seahawks have ever done of note that matters to us is beat the Broncos and then lose to us I don't know why anyone would be a bitter butt about the 12th man stuff.

At their home games, they have a flag-raising ceremony where a local "celebrity" runs a big No. 12 flag up the pole and everyone cheers. Seems that Paul Allen will be paying through the nose to retain that bit of silliness.

Fnord, your shtick is wearing thin. You don't need to be faux contrarian about everything. Nobody is being "a bitter butt" here, we're just sharing a laugh at the Seattle fans' expense. Go build a snowman or something.

Seahawks Fans. West coast's answer to the JETS.

Good. It's better to build your own traditions than to license someone else's.

This may shock you but I might actually think your thread is really stupid.

Who is this Fnord you speak of? ;)

The original 12th man was really cool. During the Jackie Sherrilmdays at Texas A&M, their kickoff team was comprised of students, not scholarship athletes. Every year they would have tryouts from the student body and I'm pretty sure nobody ever took one back to the house on them. but you had to see those kicks run down the field with reckless abandon.

They named them the 12th Man, and copyrighted it, LOl then they sued Seattle a few years ago, and they are basically "renting" the term from Texas A&M.
