Schefter: Has Heard Speculation Colts might have deflated the footballs

I'm thinking they have a camera angle of it happening ...
Certainly makes sense in that they do not need to interview Belichick or Brady.

worth at least the loss of a 3rd round pick or even a 2nd.

It would be much more than that.

If the Colts deflated a football, and brought it to the league with allegations of `Patriot cheating,` what that would mean is the Colts actively, with premeditation, executed a conspiracy of deception against the NFL in an attempt to dishonestly tarnish a team leading into the Superbowl.

That would mean a LOT more than the loss of a 3rd or 2nd.

That would be NFL bannings for life for the participants, probably the largest fine in NFL history, and easily Indy's 1st, if not two 1sts.

It would be huge.

What PISSES ME OFF
is that he can't bring himself to believe that anyone on the colts would do such a thing. So tin-foil hat.
YET the ENTIRE media had NO PROBLEM believing that BB and or Brady cheated and lied.

The contrast is huge.

How do you miss this?

I really wish someone would tweet Schefter and point this out to him. It's infuriating.

I have another question, we KNOW that their GM called the league in the second quarter. I'm guessing that their GM was not on the sidelines, so how was this information communicated to him? Isn't that exactly what the Browns are facing discipline for? Did someone from the sidelines text the GM and tell him?

LOL, the Colts might have zero picks after this is all said and done.

Is there any indication of when the air was taken out of the balls? Could the Pats have actually played the game with a ball that was tampered with by the Colts? This would have reduced Brady's ability to throw well. That adds insult to injury.

Not only cheated and lied, but believed they would have the audacity to sneak into a room like a ninja-thief, after the balls were inspected, and deflate them in secret. That's a million times more tin-foil hat

If this is true, we should all pitch in and take out a full page ad in the Indy paper to tell them that they are indeed the biggest disgrace in the history of pro sports.

I agree and would be happy to contribute. This would be the second time for this organization!

Hell no, that is at least the loss of a first round pick......I guess it will be next year. What do you think it would have cost the Patriots had they been found guilty? If this is true I'm going to LMAO.

I think it's unlikely. They probably did it unintentionally while trying to check it. Which is tampering. But here's the great part....

Checking the pressure, and letting it out are a matter of technique. If there is video of them checking it, then it's really just their word to say that's "all" they were doing.

These idiots may have framed themselves. Preponderance of evidence says- guilty.
HUH? Who made them a judge? Break it you buy it!

On a purely side note, I think your sig needs another add:

The Atlanta Decibelers (Atlanta Audiologists? Atlanta Sound Enhancers?) You pick...
I'll settle this for you: Atlanta Amplifiers.

if that ends up being true, poor Andrew luck. There is no chance of winning this conference as long as belichick is around.

Chris will solve it. He is an expert with warm balls. And probably knows about his old team heating balls this past year too.

Its not like he had his own bounty program in the NFL years ago. Real class act

The Colts are owned by a drug addict and alcoholic. Numerous players have committed real crimes over the past year. Do you really think one of those criminals would be against letting out some air in a football they got?

Give me a ****ing break. Once you drive drunk, rape a woman, or physically assault someone over a parking spot, it's not that much of a leap to think one of them stuck a pin in a football with the intent of framing somebody, especially after getting their asses handed to them the past 3 games. I put nothing past those drug-addled drunken criminals, and neither should Schef or the NFL or anyone else.

And who's team signed his son recently...the Colts...

And now imagine if a league official was actively involved.

I disagree with this to an extent. Only because Schefter was one of the very few witholding judgement when the Pats were accused. He wanted to wait for the report. If this was anyone else in the media, I would absolutely agree with you.

He's a squish
So read it and ask yourself who does he intimate is at fault here?
No mention of physics.
Is he THAT clueless?

Doesn't matter what they find, even if they are guilty, the equipment manager will be blamed and fired. Then the club will handle it internally. Just like the the Jets trip-gate with a line of assistant coaches with Rex right behind them. The assistant was canned, and Rex claimed innocence, even if he was standing right in front of it!
