Marshawn Lynch will bring Pete Carrolls house of cards down.

I think Pete can be a great coach when everything is going right, but I think he will be a disaster if there is dissension in the locker room. That is why they dumped Percy Harvin so quickly.

Pete's style of letting the inmates run the asylum is what did him in here. It seems like it is a growing concern in Seattle because there looks to be some division in the locker room now and many of the players are uncontrollable already when things are good. Guys like Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, and Doug Baldwin all say and do whatever they want without any reprimand.

Albert Breer said the players do not like Darrell Beville and prefer Tom Cable. If they turn on their OC next season, this team could implode.

Completely agree. All the explaining guys like Baldwin and Kearse had to do after they traded Harvin (and let G.Tate go), citing locker room cancers, team chemistry, etc. is hilarious given that they KEPT arguably the biggest cancer of them all (Lynch), as well as the numerous other trash-talking/me-first cretins still on the team. The irony of hearing a babbling, borderline incoherent Doug Baldwin implying that guys like Harvin and Tate were selfish and "didn't fit in" is absolutely hilarious in hindsight.

BTW, Chris Paul was fined $25k because he said something the NBA didn't like, thus offering up yet another example of why no players should speak to the press.

There is a way to treat the media, you must remember that they are not your friends. I know they will shove their microphones and camera down your throat right after a heated game, but at least engage intelligently with them. You can deflect questions and not sound oafish and "do you" as the kids say. I work with at risk kids and I just spend too much time eradicating the doing me attitude that has permeated their society. When I see Lynch behave that way, all I see are these kids.
Chris Paul's case is interesting, I did not think what he said was deserving of a fine but the media was able to paint a picture that I think the NBA could not let go.

The moment you contractually require your players to speak, you are putting them into a no-win situation. The NFLPA, stupid as always, continues to allow this sort of inanity in the CBA.

The alternate solutions are obvious:

Either don't require players to talk, or don't fine players for talking as required.

Honestly people your dislike for Pete is clouding your judgement.Everyone does not have to be Bill to be successful. He built Seattle from virtually nothing and developed them into a power in a tough division, and during the last three years no team has had a better run and people are saying he can't coach. Most of their draft successes are late round picks so drafting late won't affect them.

Not all players are for all coaches and that is the reason why Pete only returned to the nfl when he had personnel control. Some players won't mesh with Pete and those players won't be Seahawks.Bill's evident respect for him was not feigned and should tell you all you need to know.

I don't like his act with the media

His act with the media is one of the best things about him. He is giving the media scum the amount of respect they deserve.

I literally cannot fathom why anyone - especially a NE fan - would have any problem with Lynch blowing off those turds.

I first start by making a my case. Look at the video above. Pete was mic'up sometime game ago, and he is trying to coach Marshawn Lynch a bit. Watch the disdain with which he reacts to Carroll. That was very embarrassing. It was as if, don't tell me what to do, all I do is be me and just read it.
Then in the Super Bowl after "The Interception", this is how he came to the bench. WTF?

He is good, but coupling this with his attitude to the media makes me dislike him. I will hate to have a teammate like this. He basically thinks he runs the show over there and unfortunately Pete has enabled him.

I don't see anything wrong with what Marshawn said in that video. He was just being honest with Carroll. Whatever fancy play Carroll has drawn up, for Marshawn it comes down to reading it as it happens and relying on his instincts (just like every other running back, and why running back is considered the easiest position to learn for college players entering the pros), and that's what he told Carroll. He even said it with a sheepish smile, so I didn't see it as him being disdainful at all.
