Solving a mystery

Maybe he's better off being a WR if he's not that good at blocking, he was a WR before he turned into a TE so maybe him and Lafell can rotate like Edelman and Amendola
He isn't a WR he is a Joker TE that lines up on the line or in the slot, ideally working against LBs and SAFs he is faster/quicker than or a slot CB he is bigger than. He is going to do some of the things Hernandez did (not including killing people hopefully) and be a goal line threat. This system is hard to learn especially when you join the team after camp and the preseason.

Put him at WR and he can be easily eliminated by an outside CB with some size.

I think it was the Olines inability to keep TB safe. They needed to add Hooman in to block. Once the line is fixed for next season, we should see alot more of him.

It's a great question but I don't think there is any one specific answer to it.
The kid has clearly demonstrated that he's got a good skillset that we can use.

I would argue that this coming off season is actually more important to him than was the 2014 seasons in terms of Wrights' integration into the offense. Lets see how good his offseason is, as there is where I think he really has an opportunity to make a statement for the 2015 season.

1. Does he work on his pass blocking in the off season? As we know, BB wants and expects his players to be more than just one trick ponies. As a TE, if you can't adequately block, you are not going to play a whole lot for BB. This aspect of the improvement in his game is critical for him to establish more of a roll on this team. Does he stick around Foxborough to work on this side of his game or go somewhere where the coaching staff has access to what he's doing in the off season. This will tell us a lot about how bad he wants it. I'd really like this guy in particular to win parking spot close to the stadium this off season.

2. Having him involved in all the mini camps and passing camps this opffseason should be huge in terms of his development and intigration into the offence.

It is amazing how Tim Wright is a "good" problem to have. In years past we have had JAGS to go along with a few good targets. I think Tim was just caught in the numbers game. I wanted/expected to see a breakout game from him in the playoffs. But, with Danny A's and Lafell's emergence there are only so many targets to go around after Gronk and Edelman. It was great having such a strong roster instead of having to rely on someone like Reche Caldwell. If he improves his blocking, he will see the field more in 2015. Imagine(though I am not holding my breath) if Dobson has a good off season and contributes next year too. Though Lafell has his role and does it well.

I thnk Niles Paul should be our second TE next year. We could get him cheap
