Brady's "Weapons are lousy"

Bradys game is what will prolong his career - defenders doesnt have time to get to him.

I'm OK with rolling the dice on a WR in the 3rd/4th round and hoping we get lucky like the Packers :p

Let's not forget about Tim Wright. With a training camp under his belt he could be a huge contributor next year. Also Dobson getting healthy for real.

I am still high on Dobson. He has shown enough early on to show us that he can make plays, poor kid has just been snake bit with injuries so far, but if he can stay healthy, I know he will contribute and add even another dimension to our offense.

With that said has anyone heard from Ron Borges at all, he's been kind of quiet since Sunday :). Odd huh?

The patriots proved what I already knew was true. The offense is good enough as long as gronk is healthy. There are other needs that are far more important than the receiver position.

So have a lot of posters here. Seems like a lot of obnoxious posters have just disappeared all of a sudden.

Hmmmm

O Line is a huge priority this off season. At least depth wise. I think Ridley and Vereen will be elsewhere so I expect either Spiller or Bradshaw as a compliment to Blount.

Even if Amendola leaves you d still have Wright, Gronk, LaFell, Edelman and Dobson. Not at all terrible.

The priorities in terms of FAs are Revis and McCourty for sure.

I still have*some* hope left for Dobson and Boyce but they are on thin ice. ;)

I don't this offense really benefits from a big play WR. You need to have at least somebody credible outside to draw coverage, but it's more of an underneath offense and should stay that way. Of course, getting a legit deep ball threat isn't easy, either. I would only want them to go after that kind of guy if we could get a bargain. The Moss acquisition was ridiculous, we got (arguably) the most talented WR of all time for a 4th round pick. That's a once in a lifetime score. I'm happy with a guy like LaFell out there keeping the safeties honest. You don't need an all-world WR to do that.

Stick to the underneath offense and continue to build the defense. Brady may have a few more SB trips on his resume with a top tier D on the other side of the ball.

So, in yesterday's game, we had TD catches by Edelman, LaFell, Amendola, and Gronkowski.

Edelman - 9 catches for 109 yards
Gronkowski - 6 for 68 yards
Amendola - 5 for 48 yards
LaFell - 4 for 29 yards

We also had:
Vereen - 11 catches for 64 yards..

I liked the LaFell signing while many on here thought he was going to be another Donald Hayes..
I had defended Amendola from certain haters on this board and it seems like it finally started clicking for Brady and Amendola here at the end of the year.
I've loved Edelman since he got drafted and Gronk is Gronk..

It's going to be interesting to see how many people continue to say that the Pats need a WR going into this off-season..

A good deep threat wouldn't hurt, and would help. But yes, hopefully we can keep what we have...
