That's kind of a hybrid between the current and classic looks. But even then, I would only want to see it occasionally. I may be in the minority here, but I really like the current jerseys, especially the away ones.

My thought exactly. The Patriots in red makes no sense to me (cue someone saying some of the historical patriots wore red as well).

I think the "silver" uniforms could use an upgrade though, as is they're kind of blah and not too different from the whites..stronger silver, less gray IMO

I'm totally on board with the red alternative jersey. Those silver jerseys were but ugly.

While I prefer blue as the primary jersey color, count me among those who'd like to see a red alternate. Something about the old jerseys stirred my bloodlust I'd also feel loved if my nostalgia got tickled now and then...

There is a metallic fabric...not like those old silver jerseys (which always looked like white ones thrown in the wash with blue ones) but an actual almost chrome color. If they are going to do an alternate jersey, and the NFL will continue to not let us switch to a throwback helmet once a year, please go for a chrome fabric jersey.

Man, taxed my memory Big Time to guess Adams (I don't remember his number)... I researched the pic via the uniform: 1971 season. I was only 2, and needed a few more years to grow to fanhood!

I'm an old time Patriots fan and never saw the Patriots play in anything other than red home jerseys, until the 1990's.

But I'll ask this question. How many Championships have the Patriots won in the red jerseys?

Actually the red jerseys are for one game a year during the regular season against a weak team. The red jerseys are a reminder of the bad old days that you youngin's don't have in your memories.

I realize I'm in the minority, but when they win in Red, it's redemption. When that ball soared through the posts in the 1st SB, I said "You Finally Did It" while picturing Grogan and Morgan and Francis.... I actually did. And I still get misty-eyed about it.

I *like* the new unis, though Elvis' visage is a bit cold for me. ~Red~ honors the guys who struggled and fought on those Teams of Yore

I personally dont care for the red jersey, its got too much red and white and not enough blue. and theres nothing going on with the design, it looks too plain compare to the current ones. you know what? i actually kinda like the Giants white jersey.

The white 50th anniversary afc shirt is my fav. By a long way

Love the red jersey idea. Looks really sharp. I don't like the blue jerseys, never have. Find them very dull. Was really happy the Patriots got to wear the road whites for the Super Bowl. That is their sharpest uni.

Black based cleats! PLEASE!!!

The Patriots uniforms would look so much tougher. They can add color (blue or red) like they do with the white based, but get rid of those white cleats. Thats all I ask!

I agree. The red jerseys should be used once a season as throwbacks.

I wouldn't mind seeing the uniforms updated a little and made a bit more bold but nothing like some of the recent updates like the Buccaneers where the logo on the side of the helmets is much too large and the weirdly shaped numbers are difficult to read. Seahawks uniforms are pretty awful too.

Patriots had the best units in the history of American sports, with the red jerseys and Pat Patriot. We may stick with flying Elvis, but I'd love to at least see the red comeback.
