The only thing I can think of is that it was just instinct.what if duron harmon, rather than being too busy trying to hurdle over kearse actually took the time to stop and grab the bouncing ball or at a minimum try in the smallest possible way to disrupt kearse's juggling act? what was the deal with trying to jump as far out of bounds as possible?
Seattle has the best defense of all time
Russell Wilson is "special"… so very very special
Russel Wilson/Marshawn Lynch read option is unstoppable. New era of QB, Brady pocket passing is outdated.
Seahawks are the new dynasty with back to back SB's. Will surpass New England as the new dynasty. Passing of the guard from Brady to Wilson.
Pete Carroll is the best coach right now. Seahawks are "special"
Genius play call to trick New England by passing for that Touchdown when our defense was lined up to stop the run. It's funny how when something works its a genius decision… and when it doesn't work (due to good coaching/preparation by New England, and an amazing play by Butler) then it's the WORST CALL EVER.
New England is cursed by miracle catches (Jermaine Kearse). New England is cursed in Arizonas stadium.
Brady/Belichick can't win without spy gate and deflated footballs. You know there wouldve been one or two people who wouldve said this. In fact prostitute solicitor/assaulter Warren Sapp said something about this the morning of the SuperBowl on NFLNetwork.
Brady chokes in big games. Instead of talking about his 4 TDs and game winning drives in the 4th qtr, they would be talking about his 2 INT's.
Brady is .500 in SuperBowls. Not the best ever. Not even close. End of discussion.
Belichick made the worst decision ever by not calling a time out. Worst clock management ever by leaving time for Seattle, and then not calling timeouts. The media wouldve been all over this, taking Belichick bashing to a new high.
Isn't it funny how one play changes history and legacies?!
A game winning INT in the SuperBowl is amazing. But to make it on the freaking goal line was just unbelievable.
Thank you Butler…. for re-writing the stories that everyone in the media was dying to write.
I DID think of the parallel universe theory at that moment, Bingo...
The thing is, we will never know. At the time it would have appeared to be better, but if that pass is incomplete there could have been a series of events that led to the Pats losing. Fortunately we will never know.what if duron harmon, rather than being too busy trying to hurdle over kearse actually took the time to stop and grab the bouncing ball or at a minimum try in the smallest possible way to disrupt kearse's juggling act? what was the deal with trying to jump as far out of bounds as possible?

I've asked myself that question about a thousand times since Sunday.what if duron harmon, rather than being too busy trying to hurdle over kearse actually took the time to stop and grab the bouncing ball or at a minimum try in the smallest possible way to disrupt kearse's juggling act? what was the deal with trying to jump as far out of bounds as possible?

I wonder if these guys have been so coached to avoid what could be construed as illegal contact with a "defenseless receiver" (Kearse was on the ground and it looked to everyone in the stadium but Kearse and, thank God!, Butler that the play was over) that he thought he'd better get out of the way or he'd pick up a penalty at the worst possible time if he landed on him?
