Sour Grapes from Seattle

I'm big fan of Lynch and stuff, so the whole ***** mode thing is silly IMO. He really is a beast.

But I can understand why the players are so fed up with it. The only thing we've heard from people after the game was how the Pats would have lost if not for Seattle calling the dumbest play ever and how sure everyone is that Marshawn Lynch would have scored.

Can't blame the players for being fed up with that.

Now Sherman deserves to be mocked forever. He's a clown.

They don't yet. I know there was a stretch there where it seemed like we were going every year and I always had confidence we would win even in tense moments. But you contend long enough….you stick around for long enough, you understand. They are getting a taste early, so they will learn. If they even around that long.

I mean in '85 it didn't hurt much for me….I was 12 and crushing on Tony Eason but no one expected us to win and the game wasn't even competitive. Super Bowls were pretty bad then, for the most part. '96 hurt a lot more but even then, you didn't expect to win. We had never won, so why start now.

Everything that happened after 2004/5? That is what makes a being a sports fan such an incredible and frustrating thing. It's really extraordinary.

With all the crap the Pats have taken, I don't have a problem with a little trash talk back.

Sherman with his "2" "4" fingers routine when Revis was picked by the official and the receiver was left wide open for a TD was classless, so he had that poster coming...anybody know where I can get a copy?

And, the Legion of Boom has strutted enough that they have to be ready to take a little parody and trash talk back. What's the problem with that?

Lynch, however, goes out of his way not to talk to the media, so I'm not so sure about the "***** mode" poster, but I'm not coming down on our guys for doing it...they've put up with enough. Considering the things that have been said about the Pats, starting with idiot Luck's talk about feeling "deflated" after the game, I get the frustration that went into it.

That T shirt should have said beetch mode 25.

Edelman just became my all time favorite pats receiver.

Sherman was fair game. The Seahawks as a team--after Baldwin's crap on the TD (literally) and the kneel-down fight--were fair game. Lynch? I wasn't a fan of that.

I'm a fan of winning with grace. After all the BS this team went through, and after the crap going on during the game, I didn't mind a lot of what the Pats did at the parade. But not the ***** Mode t-shirt, that one bothered me.

I was shocked by Edelman's insanity.

Very unexpected un-Patriot-like behavior there by a few of the guys.

I think that tells you just how much the idiocy of the last two weeks hurt them. I doubt it was the talking during the game - all teams do that, no one more than Brady.

I think Dilfer's comments really stung JE, too.

And I'm not happy about Seattle (and other) fans implying that they lost the game, the Patriots didn't "win." That is the punk-ass behavior that just puts the icing on a couple of very disrespectful weeks.

So this was a catharsis for a team that clearly needed it. It'll be interesting if there's any backroom chatter about BB not being happy. We are talking about hte guy who benched Welker for a couple of comments about Rex Ryan.

People who get offended by this are extremely thin-skinned and need to look in the mirror and tell themselves to get over it already. I didn't even find what he did offensive, especially after all of the trash-talking that comes out Sherman's pie-hole. It's not like anyone was personally insulting any of the players for stuff off the field, it was all good.

Anyone shocked by Edelman's insanity hasn't been paying attention. There was a feature written on him a few years ago and the guy is insane. Like starting fights on his own team insane. I was really surprised to read it because I didn't have much of a read on Edelman before…he was a great kick returner and seemed to be injured a lot. People always dismissed him as being a "bubble" player come roster cutdown time (though I never did, have to pat myself on the back there). He didn't seem to have much of a personality.

After reading that article, NOTHING he says or does shocks me at all.

I always get a kick out of reading the comments at the bottom. One thing that irks me to no end is when Patriots fans comment in a manner that criticizes their own team. I read a comment from "a lifelong Patriots fan" where he said the Patriots shouldn't have mocked Seattle players.

I am also a lifelong Pats fan and I'm totally ok with what our players did in their parade. They are in the parade for Patriots fans, not for any other fan so who gives a rates arse if they mock Seattle.

We need to stop worrying about hurting other fans "feelings"....REALLY.

Too bad these teams don't play next year. Would love to beat them again and have their fans be scared ****less of us at the mere mention of the team's name.

I know. I am tired of the whole, "We need to be classy" thing. Classiness in football. Please. HATE that word.

A parade in which a bunch of players nod and smile as they roll slowly by is a bit dull. That entire Gronk clip would have made the trek worth it for me.

One thing I'm sure was probably said to the players was no shenanigans involving Goodell signs. Other than that, I'm sure it was open season.

Football players fight among themselves all the time. It's part of playing a savage sport where anger is a virtue. I only played in high school, but we still fought in practice a lot.

Having said that, some players are extreme. And it seems Edelman is extreme...expecially after hearing him tell everyone he loved them and telling Belichick that "I'd do anything for you coach (twice)".

A superbowl loss hurts pretty good for fans, I can only imagine how devastating it is for a player. I have no problems with face-to-face trash talking, but I would prefer the Pats didn't mock other players publicly.

The Patriots players and our fans don't owe anything to opposing fans. I don't even think we should give a crap how they "feel". This isn't game where everyone gets a trophy....and I like it that way.

Agreed. Boo Friggin Hoo.

Patriots fans have earned the right to create signs mocking Seahawks players. The National media and opposing fan bases systematically try to tear the Patriots down. This is the fans way of giving back to the crap they have to listen to all the time.

Patriots players earned the right to mock Seattle players. Seattle acts like the bully in the playground during the game and the amount of trash talk they do and antics on the field is amazing. The Patriots punched the bully back. If the Seahawks didn't want the Patriots to enjoy this parade, all they had to do was beat them on the field. They didn't.

I think the Lynch piece was overboard personally, but he has it coming too. From his classless crotch-grabbing on national TV to his immature dismissiveness to authority.......oh well. He has opened himself up to ridicule.

YOU just try not grabbing your crotch and itching it when a case of fiery jock itch suddenly breaks out.
