is it starting to fall apart for Petey Caroll?

I'm just curious where all of the players dumping on coaches and vice-verse is coming from.

Have there been stories in the media? I haven't ready any, can I have some links?

If Sherman has the Tommy John how does he even play next year? In any case ... like we had to do once they pay Wilson and the beast then we'll see how good a team they are when there's less money to spread around. Love to see Lynch jump ship which will totally open the door for the Packers ... then we can beat them also.

I think Carroll is an excellent coach. He has a huge potential cap problem coming up if Wilson signs for a ton of money.

There were a lot of whispers of Carroll cheating like mad at usc, but I have not seen any of it at the pro level.

It may be a mistake to pay Wilson big money, though I know Seattle will do it. This past year he was 15th in total yards, 16th in TDs, and 10th in QBR with a 95.0, just behind Ryan Fitzpatrick who had a 95.3. Green Bay played the dumbest fourth quarter in NFL playoff history, giving Wilson a chance to redeem himself, but his 4 interceptions would be embarrassing even to Peyton. Bottom line, Wilson has yet to show that he is an elite quarterback, someone who can win without a great defense.

He knows how to motivate players, and he knows how to coach defensive technique. But if the talent on the team starts to dip due to a bad couple drafts or players outpricing their role, Pete isn't going to win a Super Bowl through scheme. He wins by unleashing organized chaos.
Those first two lines certainly sound like Rex.

I think next year they'll be one of the best teams in the NFC, but won't happen to be the actual champions.
Who's going to challenge them? SF is toast. I have my doubts about GB as long as McCarthy is their coach. Philadelphia lacks a QB. Dallas maybe?

no doubt, but the guy is exactly what he was when he has entered the league...in fact, you could make the claim that his actual passing game has taken a step backwards..
A lot of that might be the result of the decline in the people he was throwing to.

Eh. That looked a lot like Brady's 4th year (2d SB) (although Brady's QB rating was substantially lower.
Wilson can shown he can win, and that he can win playoff games.

He doesn't have to pitch 7 innings you know. :)

He's not the sequel to the fall of Jim Harbaugh.

New Orleans will be back. Payton and Brees are too good. The Giants will reload.

Sherman doesn't have Tommy John. When you have that the elbow has been dislocated with ligaments torn and Shermans was not. The NFL network said last night that Sherman didn't have that injury and that Carrol was confused.

He will still have the elbow cleaned up.

I could not believe how Wilson was (a) the one who talked Carroll out of going for the FG just before the half, and (b) Wilson actually called the play (overruling OC who appeared to want to kick the FG). I know it all worked out, but several things could have gone wrong on that play and I think 99% of coaches take the 3 points in that situation.

Same old Pete, the players are in charge while he cheers them on. I give it a year and a half at the most.

I haven't read all the posts, so my apologies if this has already been mentioned.

A lot of people are giving Pete crap for the call to pass the ball. They are wrong and should listen to BB's comment about it on his interview with Dale and Holley the other day.

Im not saying hes a bad coach but I just found it interesting to hear players calling him out and doubing his call.

If players dont trust the coaching that is huge. But thats why these players coaches like rex only have about a 3-4 year welcome

Have you seen how cap screwed the Saints are? They will have a firesale in FA this year and then work with almost no margin for errors/injuries.

Honestly, I think their window of dominance with Brees is closed.

Of course if everything goes their way, anything is possible..
