Just got in from the parade and while it has a very different feel from camp, it was definetly a great experience. You don't get the same die hard football talk that you do at training camp as many of the fans are fly by night bandwagon fans, being that close to the team was special.

As the first duck boat was coming by, I yelled to Jonathan Kraft "Thank you!" He looked me dead in the eye and said "Thank You". It was a special moment to me.

I also caught Matt Slaters attention by yelling to him "Best gunner in the whole damn league!" He pointed me to with a huge grin. Just ausome to celebrate with the team. I wished they did a rally at city hall like the old days but I guess we will just have to do that next year when weather permits.

I wanted to go but I'm still snowed in my driveway LOL

Freaking New England

I'm at home....in Maine.....semi-snowbound......with a kid so sick she pooped on the floor this morning

So i watched on TV....lol

after watching and hearing a few reports.....after watching Bob Kraft come out and defend his team during the nonsense.....after watching this team all season.....after this playoff run....after the way the players carried themselves during the game and after the win...after all the quotes.....all the speeches......i can honestly say I'm damned proud to be a fan of this organization

thanks for confirming it with the above report

Thanks for going and the report.. It sounds awesome!

I put something in the other thread, but here is my report as well............

I positioned myself at the end of Tremont street by the Suffolk Law School. Even though I showed up at 10:25 I still was able to get a spot right on the crowd barrier. There were about two feet between the crowd barrier and the mound of snow. It was funny to hear the back and forth between cops. One cop was adamant that no one stand on the snow mounds, while I could hear other cops talk to each other about their fellow police offers saying "why does he care so much? As long as they stay behind the barriers that's all I care about."

In terms of atmosphere, my section was certainly lively, we had a rowdy group of guys directly across the street from where I was that started many chants. They kept the crowd entertained. A beach ball was being batted around that ultimately popped. Chants to the people in the buildings of 'we need tape!' got tape. One nice young woman taped it up, and blew it back up. Before re-circulating the ball into the crowd the cops told her to hold up "saying their boss was in the area wouldn't like that. but once he moved on the cats went back to playing.'

As for the parade itself, it was awesome. Sure, as the OP pointed out, it was more about yelling and being respectfully rowdy (if there is such a thing) as opposed to X's and O's talk.

My MVPs (Most Valuable Paraders) were...........

Shane Vereen - he was on top of the boat and boy did he have moves. HE BROUGHT IT!!!!!

LaGarrette Blount - There was a big commotion going on directly across from me when all of a sudden I realize it's because Blount is NOT on a boat. He was walking along the crowd barriers getting up close with the fans.

Julian Edelman - I've heard about his antics with a Richard Sherman poster. I didn't see that, but I did see him on top of the boat being the crazy guy that he is. Gotta love him.

I'll did take some video. I'll put what i have on youtube tonight and share the link. I would strongly encourage others to do so as I know I at least would be greatly appreciative.

It really was. I was shocked that i just strolled up to boyleston st 40 minutes before it began and got a front row spot. Its not like I was yelling in front of 10 rows of people, I was 5 feet away from these guys. The duck boat stopped in front of me with Julian Edelman right in front of me. I tried getting his attention as well but he was completely wasted. He kept pounding his empty champagne bottle on the duck boat screaming "Let's go!" I was yelling at him "That 3rd and 14!" He was very drunk and very happy. It was fun to see. He's intense even when drinking. Tom was holding his youngest son up to get the experience. Crazy to see how much of a mature family man he is these days, thats what I call progress.

Tons of people braving the cold and snow, no bombs, no arrests (at least reported yet), Edelman did not fall off the duck boat. A great day all around.

I love all of this. This is better than dancing on a Charger logo.

Everything I asked for in this off season, I was given. A Lombardi and the Patriots crapping all over their vanquished enemies.

Today is so good

wish i went...would have loved to see gronk going ham 24/7 today

I was there, loved seeing the Kraft's with the trophies... I told Vince Wilfork, "thanks for bringing it home" he gave me a thumbs up, great moment- Obviously Gronk going nuts dancing was a classic... btw, can anyone tell me what hat he had on, looked like either a spongebob or minion hat from despicable me, hilarious! Looked like all the guys were enjoying themselves, so glad I could be apart of it but it went too quick... time to be greedy, Let's go get #5 boys!!!!
