2015 Draft Rumors

One hundred percent.

No 2nd round picks have been traded. So, that will be difficult. We have plenty of picks. Basically, 5 in Top 100(102) we don't need additional picks. We have to hit on those 5.

What'ya think of Jimmy G for Rams first? Sign a veteran backup qb.

1A E. Goldman - DT - FSU
1B Erving - ol - FSU
2 trade up for edge rusher. I think Marcus Golden and T. Flowers could be targets too.
3 traded
3 supple Jay Ajayi- RB - Boise St
4. J. Heuerman - TE - OSU
4 L. Tomlinson - RG - Duke

Nooo. I want Tom to repeat next year, then maybe play another and retire a pat.

Im so impressed with how Jimmy played in the pre-season, I would really like him to be our next Tom Brady. His pocket presence in unbelievable, and his touch on his deep ball is Aaron Rodgers level. I just pray Tom will be content with 5 rings and retire, handing off the throne to Jimmy.

Disagree its Toms throne until he can't reach it or doesn't want it anymore.

That's a mock Mayo would like more than I and whilst McKinney and Phillips both concern me a little, I wouldn't be upset by a draft that looked like this at all. The only pick that really bothers me is Ty Montgomery - I think we could do a lot better at WR than that.

Brady isn't content with anything, and that's why we love him, the man takes damn good care of himself and values his life around football and family, nothing else, let him break the tie between him and Joe in SF next February and hopefully win him at least one more before retirement, couldn't be happier to be alive for such a figure, it's unreal, we're all lucky to witness and root for

I understand what you're saying, but I think you misinterpret what I'm trying to say. Id love nothing more then to see Brady win another, maybe even two more rings. If he doesn't retire a patriot, it would truly break my heart. My problem comes with the reality part of things and life. He might be able to play till he's 45, but that doesn't mean he is the best thing for the Franchise. Sadly when Tom retires, things will continue to move on. Let me say this now. I Believe Jimmy G has the natural skill to be very successful if he continues to play in NE. I even think he could win multiple Championships with bill, just like Brady has. Have you seen his pre-season film? Its pretty amazing! Id take him over any other QB in last years draft.
So in 3 years, when we have a Farve-Rodgers situation on our hands, do you still believe Belichick will let it be Bradys choice? Its a scary thought, but a reality we must all face. The only chance the Brady/NE story ends the way we all hope it does, is we win another SB in the next 3 years. I think Brady would be content with 5 rings at 40 (hopefully its 6 or 7).
Brady is my man! However I like winning, and Id like to keep winning. With that being said, I feel like Jimmy G gives us the best chance to continue the success we've had for the past 15 years.

I'm hoping the pats are able to come away with a guard in free agency an one in the draft. I know the line played well towards the end of the season but Id rather the guard signed in free agency be able to take a starting spot, then the rookie hopefully can insert himself in the starting lineup midway through the lineup. But that's just wishful thinking.

Been doing some research on Cann, I like him. I like him even more now that hes being compared to Warford who i was a big fan of. He turned out to be a pretty good player

The question with AJ Cann is, can he start at LG for the NEP? Our starting RG next season will likely
be either Cannon or Fleming, so we will need a starting LG, preferably one who was a college LT like
Mankin$ was.

I think cann is the best og in this draft. He has played against a ton of sec dl beasts in his career and mauled almost all of them. Power and mobility. Knee bender. Team captain.

Having said that, he does not have a first round grade in my book.

I hate to use a first on a guard. I want a pass rusher first. What do you think of Donovan Smith - PSU? He played LT. He weighed in at 341 during Senior Bowl week. Which is too heavy. And, he still had a good week down in Mobile. Get him down to 325 and he might be that guy in late 2nd or 3rd. Graduated in 3 1/2 years. So, he's no dumbarse.

I'd really like to see the pats double up on guards but I'd love to see them take a defensive line player early as I don't expect that they will be able to keep Ayers . I also think they will look at a lb with Mayo having gone down two years in a row and Hightower entering his last contract year

Decent teams like Arizona, Detroit or San Diego might consider Gurley too. Baltimore needs a cb. If they come back with that secondary, TB12 is a happy qb.

Seattle doing to us what we did to them last year with Easley. Gurley does look to be a nice fit for Seattle. My nightmare is Odighizuwa to Baltimore and Gurley to Seattle and then Hardison to Seattle again at 63.

I don't see us trading up to a spot before Seattle for Gurley in the first round because there is no value in that. However, in the second to get Hardison I could see a trade up.

Or, what I would prefer, trade out from the first for a second+.
