OK keyboard warrior.
You are kinda creepy. Using the words "butt hurt" and having Hernandez in your screen name.
Are you sure you are not his cell mate?

Can we check this guys IP address and see if its coming from North Dartmouth?

After this SB win how can anybody questions BB. Think about this the Pats are the youngest team to win the Super Bowl. With a few tweaks and FA signings we will be contending for a long time. In Bill We Trust

I just want to say that I believe that I was the most confident one over the course of the entire game thread......I had them pegged for the win the entire time.......I never bought into the garbage throw offense of the seahawks and the pats moved the ball pretty much at will from the 2nd drive of the game

the only flaw in the game plan if you want to call it one was the height mismatch with matthews.......you have to admit though, if throwing it up to chris matthews was what their game plan was, they knew they were in trouble from the outset

Never saw the game thread but props if you stayed positive throughout it. Are you now willing to admit you were wrong about Belichick, this team, and those of us who believe in them all along?

wrong about what?

you know how many time you've been wrong?

just cuz I'm not a BB TB goo slurper like you?

go back through it......some of those in your little circle were crying like girls......slurp goo all year only to cry uncle with 10 minutes to go.......pathetic

In other words NO.

GO for it d.ckhead, show what I was wrong about. I will be waiting.

Or you can STFU

I can't wait for the draft and FA when people start screaming about Belichick trading down, about him not grabbing one of the big FA WR's.

Real football people recognize how amazing Belichick the GM is, his draft strategy has produced more talent than anyone else in football over fifteen seasons, even without Brady to skew the numbers. And that's while routinely picking at the end of the draft. His FA strategy has allowed the Pats more roster flexibility...anyone questioning the need for a strong 53-man roster, top to bottom, need only look at UDFA Malcolm Butler, or the buy-low pickup of Lafell, for proof.

As I've said for years and will continue to say: In Belichick I Trust. Period.

Game thread was brutal as always

Yep. All the usual suspects declaring the "Game Over" or "That's the season" every time something didn't go the right way for the Pats (Brady picks, Seahawk's scores). But, there they were, right at the end celebrating like they had been keeping the faith all along.

I suppose it's too much to expect that they'll actually learn something from watching this team compete until the clock shows 0:00.

not worth the time......GFY

you may as well just type 'slurpy, slurp, slurp'

you certainly come off as the type who had given up early in the 4th

I maintain than Mankins was supremely overrated. Trading him away was a good move. Now let's find a couple of studs next year and we will have a nice rotation that can form the next band of brothers.

I don't necessarily think he was overrated, but at his age, with some injury history and a big cap number, he was at least a good bet to be overvalued from a cost perspective and was/is likely to decline in a hurry.

Selling high is never a bad thing. It took some time to get the line in order, and it was touch-and-go for a while, especially with Bennett routinely blowing the line up in the first half, but end of the day the Pats won the big prize AND have a pick and a decent young player for a soon-to-be 33 year old lineman with a $13MM cap hit the next two seasons.

Real football people

The problem is, we have only about 20 or so posters like this. The rest are 2nd guessing know it alls, children, people who became fans in 2001 and cant understand why we dont win every year, garden variety idiots, and sheep who though out ridiculous claims hoping they get people to agree with them.

"Annual Fantasy Freaks Wide Receiver Lust" is right around the proverbial corner. "Brady Needs Real Weapons!" coming soon to a theater near you.

Real fans never question their team!!!

what a bunch of hooey.

We are going to have to hear this crap for the next 7 months:rolleyes:

Real fans never question their team!!!

what a bunch of hooey.

When that team has the best coach in the history of the game, and the best GM in the league, and a track record of unmatched success in the history of the league...

When those fans can't see the big picture of piecing together a winning roster--top to bottom--with an eye on the cap and another eye on the future...

Then no, they shouldn't be critical.

You make it sound like people on this board analyze and discuss moves with logic and reason, with sound analysis to back them up and say 'Bill probably shouldn't have done that'. Re-read some of the Mankins threads, or any of the draft threads, the FA discussion threads. The people 'questioning' their team are skewering Belichick with absolutely no understanding of how he's piecing his team together, how the numbers work (this year and in the future).

Results don't lie, and Belichick has earned more latitude in what he does, both on and off the field, than any coach/GM ever.

there's no such thing as an absolute......yes, he earns more latitude....more latitude

besides......if there no questioning, then why even bother guessing who will be drafted ..... it will be who it will be ..... why discuss who will be here next year? just say 'whatever he decides' and move on....nothing to talk about......guessing and predicting whether it is based on logical thought or not is the most entertaining part of coming here.....a close second is keeping track of those who offer nothing at all except for applying 20/20 hindsight whilst never offering a perspective beforehand on anything

No, no, no, no...we ain't talkin' 'bout no stinkin' draft choices... we talkin' 'bout Fitzgerald, Megatron, DezMan, et al.

Amendola sucks....:mad::mad::mad:

I don't know if we can say if those moves are right or not. It's impossible to judge. Even in the case of Mankins it could have just been about money and the OL might have been worse, the same or better with him. We also don't know if we would have won if we kept Seymour or Samuel or any of the others.

You are correct that decisions like this aren't made in a vacuum, but I disagree with your assertions here. First off, we can definitively say that trading Mankins was the right move to make. It didn't affect NE's seeding and whether NE might have won an easier game with him is irrelevant, they still won. So the outcome was no worse, potentially even better, and they get cap space, a valuable pick and two more years of Tim Wright. That's a grand slam.

As for Seymour, we can't say how things would have gone with him entirely, but we can say that NE almost certainly loses either Wilfork or Mankins and never has the chance to snag Solder. Of course, this opens an entirely new can of worms because if they don't get their hands on Solder they have to select a LT somewhere else which sets up a domino effect in the draft.

I'm talking about giving Bill latitude, and the benefit of the doubt.

We can discuss and analyze all we want, we can predict and project and criticize. But the 'doom and gloom' folks get old quick, it's why I'm never on here when the team's going through a rough stretch, because it's all so negative and nasty and 'I told you so', but most of those people aren't around when the team once again comes together and makes a deep playoff run.

It's why Felger and Mazz have such huge numbers. They're contrarian doom-and-gloomers. It's BORING to say 'Bill's right, AGAIN' over and over. The fact is Bill IS right, over and over. He misses, he makes mistakes. And we can analyze and criticize his moves and his mistakes. But the over-the-top hyperbole that comes out when something like the Mankins trade happens is embarrassing.
