waiting for confirmation, but apparently there's a Broncos presser right now confirming that they've acquired the #10 overall pick.

Willis, or looking for another move to grab Cal?

Willis. This is bad news. We don't need Denver any stronger on defense than they are.

Lord I hope the Lions take him.

Lets see if the niners or bills will move up to #9 to take Willis. I hope the niners do.

I think they want Jamaal Anderson or another DL. Just a guess.

It was first reported by Inside the League and then mentioned on Cold Pizza, but Shanahan's press conference was tight lipped about trades - in fact, he apparently denied talking to Houston. So no real confirmation yet.

Probably just a jumpy media today.

Yeah, this isn't good. Can't stand those Broncos.

I hope so too, but I think the 49ers will be happy with Carriker. Bills, I don't know either, they might end up going with Lynch if Willis is gone. But who knows? We'll see tomorrow.

I think Shanahan is feeling the pressure to take his team deep in the playoffs. Ownership can't be happy that they've won one playoff game in the last ten years.

I don't think that Denver is all that strong on Defense. They lost Al Wilson, who was their best LBa and their equivalent of Tedy Bruschi when it comes to leadership and making sure everyone is in the right place.. They trajically lost Darrent Williams, who was their best CB behind Bailey. They also lost Patrick Chukawurah who was one of their best back-up LBs.

Now, that being said, I think if Denver adds Willis, it goes a long way to helping them get better.

They picked up Dre Bly, a huge upgrade over Williams. (R.I.P.)

Wilson is a loss, which is why I think they're going to take a shot at Willis.

I forgot about Bly. I don't think he'd going to be that big of an upgrade, if one at all, honestly.

I just read this so maybe its only a rumor

DENVER -- The Denver Broncos added depth at linebacker, signing unrestricted free-agents Warrick Holdman and D.D. Lewis on Thursday.

A bold move by Denver, but a very smart move. Does anybodyknow what they might have had to give up to get into the top 10 at the very least in terms of what the value grid says it would take??????

I can't see the logic of trading up the day before the draft when you don't know who is going to be on the board when you pick.

I can only imagine that Denver, if this story pans out, plans to move up again from the Texans position tomorrow.

What if he isn't there when they pick?

I have a feeling the Broncos will wait until tomorrow until Houston is on the clock to make the trade official and make sure Willis is still there at 10. It would make sense to me at least if I was in their FO. At least if Willis is the real reason they want to trade up. Just my 2 cents.

You're right, they did. But those guys are exactly it-depth. They would still love to get their hands on Willis if they could I bet.

The chart says it would be their #2 and #3 (that's what someone said a couple days ago, anyway).

Except if you take into consideration that it is costing LESS to move up this year than in other years. At least, according to Bill Belichick.
