Mod Edit: Seahawks Fan Here To Make Pathetic Excuses For His Team

Is it his fault that Kearse dropped a catchable ball?
He threw about six balls like that one, and most of them were caught. Most of the time in the NFL, less than half of those are caught. His receivers bailed him out last night, particularly the Matthews kid. You talk as if they let him down. Just the opposite.

he's freaking out because he's a RAT FAN...they thrive on their "gaa gaa goony all pros!!!" and they hate the Patriots because they THINK all Patriot players are inferior to their "beasts!!!!". How many times have these sewer dweller shyt eaters polluted this board with their insane predictions of dominance at the start of every season? 15 years straight now. This total idiot is running his mouth about a barely functional illiterate "Shel-Rich!!!" who make exactly ZERO big plays at crunch time. What a "beast!!!!". Who needs the best corner in football taking away half the field the whole game when you're "Shel-Rich!!!!" gets you a sack in the 2nd quarter? Morons...every single green turd that has ever come here.

I lived in Seattle for a few years, and most of the sports fans I met there were gracious hosts and good losers no matter what the sport. It was one of the few places I could wear a jersey from a Boston or New England sports team to an away game and feel like I was still welcome there. I would not dream of disrespecting Seattle sports fans in general.
I will agree that Red Sox games are like home games in Seattle AND that I was treated nicely as a visiting Pats fan in the Seahawks "family" section.

But they're also a bunch of fairweather bandwagon fans and that's why the Mariners are currently embarrassing MLB and the Sonics are in OKC.

he seahawks will make him the highest paid QB in the NFL and that will be a mistake.....this garbage of throwing up jump balls is a joke. he was lousy in the short game

This was the ultimate troll job, nice work. I will play along. If you boil it all down, what you get are two football teams. One that is incredibly talented and one that is incredibly prepared. In the end the better prepared team won. That my friends is why the Lombardi is residing in Foxborough. The only unresolved issue is what will become of the Seahawks. Will they learn from their mistakes or succumb to failure. Should be fun to watch, I have allot of respect for that team. I think they will be back and even better. But as we all know sometimes that journey back to the top can take a long time with many turns.

Thanks to whichever Mod changed the title

And they did. Ugh.

I wish I was a believer in moral victories but I don't. History is written by the victors. One stupid decision, a little luck, and we'll have to endure years of Patriot fan gloating. This is particularly bitter for me because I lived in Cleveland and was a huge Browns fan as a kid when they lost to Denver in the '88 AFC Championship Game because of "the fumble." They were the better team and Denver proved it by going to the Superbowl and getting their asses kicked by Washington. At least with the "fumble" it was a reasonable football play that just went wrong. Yesterday was a dumb football play that cost Seattle the Superbowl. Ouch.

I can think of a lot of coulda shoulda's. I wish the Seahawks secondary wasn't in its weakest condition since early season. I wish the Seahawks secondary wasn't further weakened when they lost last year's Superbowl MVP in the first quarter to injury. I wish our starting defensive end didn't get injured in the 3rd quarter...followed by two touchdown drives by the Patriots. I wish our coach called for a run instead of a pass. Any one of those would have probably made the difference in the game.

It's definitely hard to swallow. The Seahawks held the Patriots to 57 yards rushing. The Seahawks rushed for 162 yards. They intercepted Brady twice. As I predicted yesterday, the Seahawks were the tougher team. On any normal day the Seahawks win with those numbers.

But they weren't the smarter team...at least in the last meaningful play of the game.

Sorry, I can't bring myself to really congratulate the Patriots. I admire the hell out of Brady for leading the Patriots comeback in the 4th quarter against Seattle's depleted defense. I admire what's his name who made the interception to win the game...nice defensive play on an historically stupid offensive play. I admire the Patriots secondary shutting down Seattle's middling receivers for about half the game. I admire Belichick for being an ornery *******. But overall I say, lucky win but still counts.

See you next year and hope the results are what they should have been yesterday--the best team winning the game.

PS. It'll be fun to see how the Patriots fare in a year or two when Brady is done. ;-)

The Seahawks were the tougher team? Getting outscored 14-0 and giving up 149 yards in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl while allowing the opposing QB to go 16 for 18 with two passing TDs to take the lead qualifies as soft. Seattle got torched by Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola to lose the game.

Get a grip.

Losing your composure in the final minute by coughing up the ball and committing penalties is not mentally tough. Taunting after a 3rd quarter score and mugging for the camera while playing the team with the best record in the NFL over the last ten years is not mental toughness.

Tough? Not even close. Immature? Definitely.

Why are you just looking at stats... He was MAKING plays (after the first) and throwing with excellent touch throughout the game and delivered the best thrown ball of the game that was unfortunately dropped by Jermaine Kearse.. Russell is worth every penny that he is going to receive this season and he is going to become one of the three best Quarterbacks in the NFL in two seasons.
I completely agree with you russell Wilson is legit! Such a great talent, I think if he can stay healthy he will be in the mix for the next ten years.

He throws a very accurate deep ball. He does need to work on his short passing game accuracy. I wonder if his size hurts him in that regard at all.

I just find it funny that anyone would think they would get even the slightest bit of sympathy from a fan base that suffered the helmet catch. STFU with your "on any other day" while you also probably do the "lol 18-1" schtick with the other idiots.

To your ********:

A rather obvious Seattle band wagoner here, especially when you don't know who the Seattle SB MVP from last year was. Also it will fun to see how the Seahawks fare when they have to start paying some guys; Seattle has really benefited from having some cheap players on their team and that will change soon.

Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers, Andrew Luck (that's 3), Dree Brees, Manning retires, but I wouldn't count out Cam Newton. I like Wison, I wouldn't put in too high on the list. Then again, you probably have Mark Sanchez ranked pretty high.

Russell Wilson is the ONLY reason why the Seahawks were not blown out, he's NOT overrated and if you watched Seattle all year, you'd REALIZE that. He was brilliant for most of the game and yes he made a mistake, but so does every great QB. And Sheldon Richardson is an absolute animal, a three technique with the ability to convert speed to power when he plays the edge and a monster that cannot be blocked and he's a man that has top notch work ethic and a great motor. Is it Russell Wilson's fault that his defense gave up a ten point lead? Is it his fault that Kearse dropped a catchable ball?

Sssshhhhhhhhh we are trying to figure out how they are going to shape next year's Super Bowl rings. Fitting them for the thumb is difficult.

Wilson completed 12 passes last night...of course, braindead Rat fan thinks THAT is HOF material...it just never stops with these green lobotomy cases.
What is it with the color green, anyway, Joker?

He's shown no signs of developing. If anything he's regressing. I was really high on him, but I'm wondering if he doesn't start struggling in a few seasons.

That offense was few missed blatant penalties and generous spots away from putting up 10 points. That's really the tip of the iceberg too. Three things went wrong for that offenses all game long and they only managed 24 points. Keep relying on 20+ yard plays...

To imply that the better team didn't win is sounding a bit Marshall Faulk-ish - Sour Grapes pathetic. Seattle was lucky to be in a position to even win that game thanks to a lot of flukey plays.

We Pats fans have lost 2 heartbreakingly close superbowls in recent years so you wont get any sympathy in here with your list of excuses.

I am SO GLAD that our team doesn't have a clown who pretends to poop a football, or a clown that is so insecure that he has to play to the camera and mock an opponentwho plays the same position, or a guy with the lack of class/poise to instigate a brawl because he suddenly realizes that he is going to LOSE.
