In the season which Peyton Manning got the all-time passing TD record, Tom Brady went and got his all-time tying fourth Super Bowl ring.

It's a perfect narrative of their entire careers. Manning gets the stats, Brady gets the hardware.

Brady has the important stats. Most SB wins, most SB yards, most SB TDs, and a whole slew of other records in the SB. Most completions in a SB. Also most playoff wins. Manning can have the most REGULAR season records, who cares.

I like the comparison of the last two Superbowls:
Against largely the same SEA team, Peyton folded like a chair while Brady was the SB MVP, coming back to win it in the 4th Q. That says it all. Stats are for losers, scoreboard is for winners.

Brady has the regular season stats AND post season stats AND rings

Brady gets deducted style points for not having a preplanned, rehearsed, exceedingly unauthentic celebration. Please observe:

This was an interesting thread from the Broncos board, about 97% deflate free, and a more than a few seeing Manning for what he is.

Odd that they think Kubiak will be better. He is the very definition of mediocrity. Fox was a good coach, good but definitely not great. Broncos running game will be dangerous as it seems Kubiak learned a thing or two from Shanny but, I can't imagine anyone is winning anything important with Gary Kubiak leading the way.

The Texans were week in and week out the least prepared team in the NFL when Kubiak was the coach. He essentially ran a country club while there and only had one offensive and one defensive game plan. Any team with half a pulse was able to beat them and Kubiak's standard line after a game was "It's my fault, I didn't get the team ready." Which is why the Pats pounded them whenever they wanted to. If the Broncos think Kubes will be an improvement over Fox, they are sadly mistaken (that said, BOB is a serious football coach and could make the Texans dangerous).

Agree about BOB. The Broncos should've canned Fox last year and made a hard run at him. Settling for Kubiak now is just more of the same, probably.

I think this Super Bowl once and for all ends the Brady vs Manning debate. I mean, even die hard Manning fans must be willing to concede at this point, right?

That "keep away" was the most disgusting thing in a non-Ray Rice year. This year was special.

I hate Manning's pursuit of stats. He is a great player. But I like winning. And winners. Tim Hasselback : Manning still GOAT. Show me your rings Tim.

Tim Hasselbeck wasn't even the good Hasselbeck. All he ever won was the trophy wife.

The Manning vs Brady is no longer a discussion.

It's over.

There is nothing wrong with that. ;)

Yes, and if Tim Hasselbeck were on The View -- or for that matter, some "how to pick up chicks" website -- we could all afford him a certain credence.

The only inside scoop Tim Hasselback could deliver would have to be delivered at the end of a toy of sorts, if you take my meaning.

This debate has been over for years to most here, after this Season Manning will never be mentioned in the same tier by anyone worth their salt in football.

Honestly I enjoyed seeing Manning get his butt handed to him last year and Manning face never gets old, but honestly I just stopped caring about comparing them at that point.

I actually have more respect for Manning than I ever did because with the Broncs it seems like he has the maturity to fully take the blame for laying an egg on the field rather than blame the stupid player that did stupid thing that cost the stupid game like he did for years in Indy.
