And they did. Ugh.

I wish I was a believer in moral victories but I don't. History is written by the victors. One stupid decision, a little luck, and we'll have to endure years of Patriot fan gloating. This is particularly bitter for me because I lived in Cleveland and was a huge Browns fan as a kid when they lost to Denver in the '88 AFC Championship Game because of "the fumble." They were the better team and Denver proved it by going to the Superbowl and getting their asses kicked by Washington. At least with the "fumble" it was a reasonable football play that just went wrong. Yesterday was a dumb football play that cost Seattle the Superbowl. Ouch.

I can think of a lot of coulda shoulda's. I wish the Seahawks secondary wasn't in its weakest condition since early season. I wish the Seahawks secondary wasn't further weakened when they lost last year's Superbowl MVP in the first quarter to injury. I wish our starting defensive end didn't get injured in the 3rd quarter...followed by two touchdown drives by the Patriots. I wish our coach called for a run instead of a pass. Any one of those would have probably made the difference in the game.

It's definitely hard to swallow. The Seahawks held the Patriots to 57 yards rushing. The Seahawks rushed for 162 yards. They intercepted Brady twice. As I predicted yesterday, the Seahawks were the tougher team. On any normal day the Seahawks win with those numbers.

But they weren't the smarter team...at least in the last meaningful play of the game.

Sorry, I can't bring myself to really congratulate the Patriots. I admire the hell out of Brady for leading the Patriots comeback in the 4th quarter against Seattle's depleted defense. I admire what's his name who made the interception to win the game...nice defensive play on an historically stupid offensive play. I admire the Patriots secondary shutting down Seattle's middling receivers for about half the game. I admire Belichick for being an ornery *******. But overall I say, lucky win but still counts.

See you next year and hope the results are what they should have been yesterday--the best team winning the game.

PS. It'll be fun to see how the Patriots fare in a year or two when Brady is done. ;-)

Whiny, squealing *****es and their whining, squealing Players amuse me. :)

The better Team won.

Our Team is a better Team...and they are better men.

We shall savor your Wailing & Gnashing of teeth...and your bitter Lamentations.

Eat it, *****. :D

Wah, wah, wah, boohooohoooooooooo....
O.k., you came back, but you left your class in you other pants.

Bill Belichick went for it on 4th down versus the Colts and did not make it. I never heard one Patriot player criticize the call. How many Seattle players threw Carroll under the bus yesterday? Will you pay Lynch? Will Wilson take a hometown discount? Did you find your new DC yet?
There is a really good reason Brady has been to 6 Super Bowls. We'll be back center stage, not sure you'll be there.

Hawks in trouble when the give the overrated one his contract

Another disadvantage for consistent winning teams is that the playoffs add more wear and tear on your players bodies, and a shorter off-season to recover from the additional bumps and bruises.

Pats caught a break this time as they ended the Superbowl remarkably healthy, and I don't think we have anyone, other than Stork and Hightower, who need to continue rehabbing an injury.

Wow, this is so pathetic. Even Sherman was able to congratulate the Pats on their victory. And he played in the freaking game! All you did was sit on the couch pounding fistfuls of nachos trying to drown out the sound of your own bitter, bitter tears.

The words "sorry ass loser" come to mind...

The Patriots beat.....

Seattle

Indy x2

Baltimore

Cincy

Denver

Detroit

All playoff teams.

They beat the best and knocked off of the defending Champion. They were the best team in football in 2014, and they proved it. Congratulations to them, it's a great time to be a Patriots fan.

You say they held pats to 57 yards rushing , how many times did the pats try and run. Wilson had 15 pass attempts before the last drive . 15 and completed 7 of those. Talk about lucky ??
I like wilson but a lot of times his passes were just throw it up and see if they can catch it. Patriots played their B game and won. If they didn't do stupid things like facemask on long completion or 2 dumb INts , this would not have been close. Dont talk about injuries , every team has them.
We got jobbed with the tyree catch in SB 42 but never have heard single pats player make an excuse .
Regarding "It'll be fun to see how the Patriots fare in a year or two when Brady is done" , I want to see how you guys fare once you pay wilson and lynch and face a revolving door of players and coaches and if even last the next 2 years.

Your delusions to the contrary aside, rest assured that the better, mentally tougher, and more physical team won yesterday.

Stay classless in Seattle.

In three years I wonder if there will even be Seahawks fans.

There certainly weren't any when I moved to the PacNW 10 years ago.

You can't talk about the Pats luck and then gloss over Kearse making maybe the luckiest catch in NFL history. That play was the only reason the last minute of the game even mattered. The Seahawks have been living by luck for the better part of a month, so you can't complain when they finally, inevitably die by it.

Tom Brady:
When you win, say nothing. When you lose, say less.

Seahags and their fans will never learn this. We saw in their last two plays how their players act in defeat. Now we see how the fans are.

Kiss the Rings thats all I can say.

I see the fanbase matches the team....

Cant wait till the Seahawks make a mess of their contract situations and become irrellevent again. So the "12" can go back to not selling out their stadium....

By that time , this fool will probably go back to rooting for the Browns....
