Be honest: When Kearse makes that catch......

I absolutely did. I said "why does God hate us?" and went outside with my brother-in-law who was having a smoke. Then we heard pandemonium break out as Butler made the pick.

I couldn't believe the symmetry with the Giant games, but surprised myself by keeping up the hope. I did say, out loud, "OK, now we are going to need a turnover to win this thing."

And yes, with that established, I will continue to make statements like that until there is evidence that this new superstition is not working.

This was my exact reaction, word for word, action for action:

"Oh my God" I said, burying my head in my lap. "Not again." Then I looked up and said, "God hates us."

But then God said, "Nah, just kidding, Pats fans! Go on with your bad selves!"

And all was amazing

I thought luck/god/fate doesn't want us to win and was starting to get reconciled to that probablity.

Within a few minutes, I started to think luck/god/fate does want us to win as I stared in disbelief at that INT.

in fact, I ventured so far to specualte that the tide had turned and that we can go 19-0 next season. :D

That's exactly what I did. After the catch was confirmed, I said "Nope, I'm not watching this happen again" and went outside...I came back in when I heard everyone going nuts.

I felt sick to my stomach. I thought it was some cosmic sick joke.

My exact words were "My God, we just got David Tyree'd again".

I am glad Butler has a short memory. Not many non-Patriots would have made the play of their life on their next snap.

I fell to my knees in shock. When Lynch was kept out of the endzone I was proud but concerned with the clock. Should we let them score so we could try for a field goal? No time out? There's not enough time left, we're due one big turnover -- and it happened. I wasn't even sure it happened, but when I saw Butler did get that pick I was too shocked to yell or cheer or gloat. My pulse had already jumped from the Kearse catch and it jumped again after the Butler pick.

I remember popping up around the room and feeling my heart beating out of my chest, then offering my non-Pat fan friends to feel my heart rate.

It was Tyree all over again, why why why, and then I was like, why wasn't BB taking a timeout, give Tom some time to at least tie the game. Then THE BUTLER DID IT!

I was screaming at the TV at first. I was sure it had hit the turf, then I saw the replay and my heart sank. I just couldn't believe it, not again.....then came the ending. :)

so now I'm hearing rumours of "LYNCHGATE"...the NFL didn't want Lynch to win the game for Seattle...LOL the call was some big conspiracy.....what next?:D

Maybe it was the IPA, but I felt totally confident and relaxed throughout the fourth quarter. No worries about losing, I thought the Pats had it. I have no idea why. I went back and watched twice over today and I should've had a coronary.

Yeah, I said something that would send me to hell. I won't repeat it here.

I freely admit, the negative thoughts crept in and I went into "mental preservation" mode and braced myself for the worst.

I can't ****ing believe it, not again. Followed by why does this stuff happen to us in the super bowl And i thought thats it, the hawks are going to punch it in and will we have enough time to come down and kick a field goal to tie the game.
At times it was like watching the last two super bowls against the giants, but mostly it was the kind of game that drives me up a wall to the point i have to leave the room. We out played the hawks for almost all of the first half and the fourth quarter. Brady and the offense would move down the field for five or six minutes, long hard fought drives only to be followed by wilson throwing the ball up and either a receiver who never caught a ball would make a catch, someone (kearse) make a bizarre fluky catch (tyree fits both) and score. All three of the last super bowls were like that. The pats would have to make long methodical drives to score and the giants and hawkes would get points off of circus catches in drives that last just a couple of minutes.

My mind was blown by the Kearse catch. It was like a bad acid trip where I was overwhelmed with a feeling that there were unnatural forces at play. I was still trying to process what had just transpired when the interception happened. I have to admit for a few minutes after they had won I felt a little empty inside - contemplating just how random the difference between winning and losing can be.

I did and I admit it. I thought the Pats were done for. I had predicted a 14-10 Pats win, where the Pats would stop the last Seahawks drive with an interception and preserve the victory and redeem the 2007 loss. But I never thought it would be that close!

I said the same thing about being Tyree'd and then I said please throw a pass.

like everyone else is saying

"not again" was said quite a few times in quick succession

and prob something along the likes of "are you ****nig kidding me?"
