Absolutely brutal. Guy sounded like a Seattle cheerleader during the whole telecast. I actually muted the game for a few minutes in the third quarter because his rooting interest for Seattle was bothering me. Dead silence from him after the Butler play. Did anyone else notice this? I thought it was particularly bad in this game.

Michaels was worse but the pair of them were just embarrassing with their biased commentary and bringing up the damn balls while our players are celebrating.

Sorry for the double post mods. Please merge/delete. Thank you.

there were multiple mutings, mostly around the times that we were thinking he was masturbating to a poster of a seahawks jersey in a corner of the broadcast booth.

I kept waiting for him break out a "Deflategate" chant in the middle of the third. I think he and Michaels were doing a SEA-HAWKS cheer at one point. :)

I expected a better job out of them. So much for that. The action on the field was much better.

I couldn't believe that.. they waited until late in the 4th quarter while the Patriots were driving for the lead and then started ripping them to pieces about deflategate etc..

It was unreal... Totally scripted, in their biggest moment of the year the 2 broadcasters were using that as the time to bring up controversy and suck the air out of their sails..

F*** EM! SB Champs baby!

Seriously, Collinsworth brought up deflate-gate, under no circumstances, late in the 4th Q was the game was at it's height of suspense. WTF!?!

Yup, it was 100% planned that way.. it was a despicable, disgusting display of broadcasting.

Both of them are douchebags. Every time they call a Pats game, whenever our defense is on the field, Al Michaels immediately raises the flag 'option' on every incomplete pass.

I was PO'd that both Collinsworth and the Toupée both saw the hit to the head that Brady took in the first half and ignored it. A whitewash. To his credit, Collinsworth did point out offensive pass interference by the Seahawks, but in general he was not pro-Patriots.

Hey, Collinsworth!!!!

Collinsworth was average for him

everyone has to understand .... the pats have become a broken record to the rest of the country

the pats aren't supposed to happen in this era of free agency and salary cap.......the pats defy logic and they're going to have to deal with the pats the same way next year.

Every time I hear his name I think of the Week 2 2007 "Spygate" interview he did on NBC after the beatdown the Patriots put on the Chargers. He looked close to tears and in disbelief at what had just happened on the field, like he was convinced the only reason for the success was due to "spying" on opponents.

The one thing that annoyed me was that Butler balled out on that play man, he put the work in, he studied, the coaching staff put him in a position to be successful and that coupled with his instincts...playmaker...but the only thing CC kept talking about was the poor play call.

The sad part is that BS is there forever. We'll watch replays and have to listen to the stupid ball crap. They could have done a 3 hour special on ball deflation before the game for all I cared but leave it off the actual game on which the commentary will be re-listened to forever.
