Sounds crazy, but I have to wonder...

I know Brady has said he wants to play forever, but there seemed to be some finality to this game. And the Patriots did draft Jimmy G.; I wonder of Brady told them something?

Probably not, but just a thought...Brady did take some wicked head shots (which the announcers whitewashed) in the first half. Of course Brady has always taken wicked shots and bounced back up, but...I am not so sure this time.

Wow really?

Highly doubtful, he does not sound or look like someone who is ready to hang up his cleats.

Fred I know you're just trolling here, playing your role, but honest to goodness he was just quoted less than 24 hours ago as saying "I have a lot of football left." Try harder next time; Belichick would have been the better angle. I give it a 4/10 troll only because I'm in a generous mood after last night.

Well, that didn't take long.

Actually it did. A whole half day before that popped up. I would have guessed 3 AM.

Agree with OP, just the way he reacted to Butler's pick told me he is riding off into the sunset this offseason. His cool, calm, relieved demeanor said to me, "Finally, my long, wearisome football journey is at an end."

I am not being a troll. It was a legit question, but I guess it was answered in the Time Magazine article. I will check it out. Thanks for the link.

I hope he does not retire, but some athletes like to retire at the top of their game. He does not need anymore money, and he does not have to prove anything, so I was wondering....

Freakin' Freddie (Felger).

Dude. I think if he had a year like Manning's then the discussion is warranted.

But after he wins SB MVP w/ the greatest 4th qtr comeback in SB history? Really?

I can't see it happening.

His dad is right, it is going to end badly for Tom Brady. Here is what I think will happen: He will be close to 47, having won his 6th SuperBowl when he will try to juke out a LB and instead will get clobbered. His wife will run out onto the field and thinking she is an Angel, he will think he is dead. She will kiss him and he will get up and walk off into the sun-set.

Fred, try something a little more uplifting like "Do you think Julian Edelman is dying from his injuries incurred in the title game?".

Seriously, do you acquire super powers when people are depressed, or is it just a coincidence your questions seem to have a "bnzz kill" air about them?

Brady said I want to prove athletes can play well into their 40s, so from that you infer he wants to retire next year at age 37? Not following you.

he does not have to prove anything, so I was wondering....

Says who? Do you know him and did he tell you that? Maybe he wants 5 rings Or 6? Or maybe he wants to the oldest QB to do ___________ Or maybe he loves to play and will play until they cart him off the field.
