But for real I actually like your team a lot and wish them success when they're not playing the Pats. I'll be riding high off this win for quite some time, regardless of how it was achieved.

PS when the Pats beat Carolina in the Super Bowl half of their defense was on IR, including their version of Richard Sherman. Great teams overcome. Yours almost did but it came up a play short, this could have gone either way, bad call or no there were multiple game changing moments. That's why we love watching the sport!

Good luck next year!

Luck?? Luck was the circus catch that got the She-Hawks into the Redzone. Your team will follow all the other pretenders and go the way of the Niners and Donkeys once you have to pay Lynch and Wilson. The World Champion Patriots came back from being 10 down against your defense. Take your green glasses off and face it....it was a beat down!

It's hilarious when an opposing team fan can only bank on TB12 retiring. Too funny.

Goodnight, thanks for playing. You got your one ring, but the real Dynasty continues !

And they did. Ugh.

I wish I was a believer in moral victories but I don't. History is written by the victors. One stupid decision, a little luck, and we'll have to endure years of Patriot fan gloating. This is particularly bitter for me because I lived in Cleveland and was a huge Browns fan as a kid when they lost to Denver in the '88 AFC Championship Game because of "the fumble." They were the better team and Denver proved it by going to the Superbowl and getting their asses kicked by Washington. At least with the "fumble" it was a reasonable football play that just went wrong. Yesterday was a dumb football play that cost Seattle the Superbowl. Ouch.

I can think of a lot of coulda shoulda's. I wish the Seahawks secondary wasn't in its weakest condition since early season. I wish the Seahawks secondary wasn't further weakened when they lost last year's Superbowl MVP in the first quarter to injury. I wish our starting defensive end didn't get injured in the 3rd quarter...followed by two touchdown drives by the Patriots. I wish our coach called for a run instead of a pass. Any one of those would have probably made the difference in the game.

It's definitely hard to swallow. The Seahawks held the Patriots to 57 yards rushing. The Seahawks rushed for 162 yards. They intercepted Brady twice. As I predicted yesterday, the Seahawks were the tougher team. On any normal day the Seahawks win with those numbers.

But they weren't the smarter team...at least in the last meaningful play of the game.

Sorry, I can't bring myself to really congratulate the Patriots. I admire the hell out of Brady for leading the Patriots comeback in the 4th quarter against Seattle's depleted defense. I admire what's his name who made the interception to win the game...nice defensive play on an historically stupid offensive play. I admire the Patriots secondary shutting down Seattle's middling receivers for about half the game. I admire Belichick for being an ornery *******. But overall I say, lucky win but still counts.

See you next year and hope the results are what they should have been yesterday--the best team winning the game.

PS. It'll be fun to see how the Patriots fare in a year or two when Brady is done. ;-)

YAWN........... No comment. We on to the Duck Boats.

Wow --- you are just a terrible fan and person.

Lucky win my ass. GTFO. Down 10. And the GOAT carving your overrated D for 13-15 and 2 TDs to take the lead. Then the Kearse catch giving you guys a chance to even be that close to the endzone and your QB and Coaches choking it away. Keep in mind Lynch already got stuffed so it's no given he woulda scored.

If anything it was lucky you guys had a chance.

Also, you're the biggest bandwagon fan clearly. Malcolm Smith was last year's MVP not Jeremy Lane but since you joined the wagon a few weeks ago I'll let it slide for you not knowing that.

Guys, stop replying to this 12 year old ****y. This is the attention he so desperately craves since he cant get it in real life.

New England were the better team for 54 minutes. If they execute better, they win by 14+.

Exactly! If they don't play the run soft on the first play of the last first half drive (the 7 gift points before half), the Pats run away with the game.

The Patriots outplayed the Seahawks in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarter. The Patriots would have even won this if it were a boxing match. The Patriots were both the better team and the winner of this game. Sore losers.

Sorry boy, the Seahawks were NOT the tougher team. They are a very good team but if you think they were tougher than I don't know what drugs you are taking.

They are also an immature and undisciplined team and it showed several times during the game.

I am going to watch the game again today or tomorrow.. but the patriots seemed to have the upper hand except for 1 horrible int in the red zone in the 2nd quarter. And 1 int where the defender made a good play in the 3rd quarter. If you wanna play coulda shoulda woulda's the patriots would have won by 10 without those 2 INTS. Of course I don't play those games.. lets face it know matter how good your team is a little luck is always involved with football games. That catch the guy made to put them in position to possibly win the game was lucky as all hell and I thought we were going to lose for a second because of that incredible/lucky catch. But we didn't.

This guy is an idiot, sorry but he called a blowout not he is making excuses.

Go back to the SB and if we face you we will beat you again, you guys can't see us period.

Carroll was playing the % on passing vs rushing which he made the right call but the result cost him:

The Seahawks had rushed on 7 of their 9 plays from the 1-yard line this season prior to that play. The Seahawks scored a TD on 3 of the 7 rushes and 1 of the 2 drop-backs. Marshawn Lynch had 5 rushes from the 1-yard line this season for -1 yards and 1 TD.

It would seem Lynch was considered a weak link from the 1 yard line but the way he was slicing up the D in the biggest game, I would've called his number which I thought was going to happen and expect b2b wins for Seattle. Carroll out-coached himself as did Martz with our 1st SB win.

IMHO, With the free agents Seattle has to sign in the off-season and unless Wilson signs a team friendly contract to help keep his team intact then I expect Seattle to fade away just like the Rams did.

I like Wilson at QB and see him as going to be a QB to talk about for his time in the NFL which should be a positive one for him going forward. He reminds me as a Drew Brees type of QB going forward.

A lot of post season games and SBs have elements of luck and good fortune so I personally do not care whether it was deemed lucky or not. The line between winning and losing can be very small so I take this win and run.

I give the Seahawks plenty of credit. They looked stagnant on Offense until they put a guy with 0 regular season catches on the field and they starting making plays even though they looked dead for most of the opening half. On defense, they had several injuries to contend with and that most certainly played a part on the final outcome but that is the way the story goes sometimes. The Patriots have been scuppered in previous seasons for those very reasons and attrition is just part of the game.

Credit the Patriots who looked dead and buried in the 3rd quarter but pulled out the win. They found what small weaknesses Seattle's defense had and maintained the patience and concentration to dink and dunk themselves to victory. Digging themselves out of that hole down 10 in the 4th quarter against a defense of the caliber of the Seahawks cannot be underestimated.

To the OP, the Seahawks are a great team and while the hurt of losing a SB in this manner is crippling, any adversary who is triumphant should be credited because it is hard to win on luck alone. The Patriots have been there twice before so Pats fans are well equipped to speak.

I agree here. Everything I've seen out of Wilson (which admittedly isn't much) has been classy, thoughtful, and reasonable. It will be very interesting to see what he does with the contract negotiations.

The Pats thoroughly dominated the Seahawks. If it wasn't for crazy luck (Matthews, kearse) it would have been a blowout. The Hawks should have lost to the Packers had the easiest schedule in the 2nd half of the year and despite being talented were outclassed by the Patriots.

I think people here have covered everything already, so I'll just add that Seattle was an even bigger loser than Katy Perry last night.
