I agree….I think we win this one convincingly

The problem is that this Seahawks team hasn't beaten a team with decent quarterback except a gimpy Aaron Rodgers since Denver in Week 3. They haven't beaten a winning team except Gimpy Rodgers Packers and 3rd QB Arizona since that game either. Hard to say just how good they are given that competition. Even the Gimpy Aaron Rodgers Packers moved the ball at will and kept Wilson in check for 55 min.

I am more inclined to say the success has been driven more by an easy schedule than excellence and we win convincingly: 28-13.

It's highly unlikely it'll never happen but, for the past couple of weeks, I keep thinking that 58-3 would be a good score for New England to beat Seattle with.

Someone give me a good reason why the patriots will be able to stop Lynch when they let Forsett gash them just a few weeks ago.

Love the optimism.

Hope you guys are right.

Imagine a SB that doesn't come down to the last minute :D

From your mouth (or in this case, keyboard) to God's ears.

If the Seahawks' secondary is still pretty banged up, the Pats will blow them out. If not, this should be a close game.

Ive been thinking about this all week as well, tough to say

Seahawks are not in our league. Pats by at least 17

I started a thread last week, the 'I'm not nervous about Seattle' thread because I believe the Pats will be in control from the get-go, even though the score may not always reflect that. Pats score first, play downhill all game. Pats 23-20. Boom.

The defense was concerned with the Smiths.

Because Belichick has worried about this as well and has figured out what they need to do to correct it

Stopping Lynch and containing Wilson is the key to the game IMO.

If we can slow Beastmode down and force 3rd and longs, keep Wilson in the pocket, and force bad throws - we'll be in great shape. They're not going to want to throw against us. So let's make 'em.

In 15 years of watching Brady & this offense, the only defenses that sometimes give them fits are the big, strong ones with a pass rush (BAL, NYG, SD) and the goofy ones with crazy schemes (NYJ, MIA).

SEA is a lightening fast, physical, athletic defense. However, they aren't overly big and aren't complex. Two years ago they put up 475 yds of offense and should have had 30+ points. This year, coupled with their nicks and scratches in the secondary, I think the Pats physically wear them down. I'm thinking close at 1/2 time and Pats pull away in the 4th qtr.

30-17, Pats.

Seattle run game is not cut block based. Forsett is yards before contact due to blocking scheme. Lynch is yards after contact - holes aren't that big.

I have dreamt of losses with the last couple SBs - last nite I dreamt of a blowout - Pats favor

I too am smelling a little bit of, if not blowout, a convincing (not nail biter) win. Perhaps closer to 10 points, but I'd not be surprised by 17 (or more).

Let's also remember that Seattle wouldn't even be here if the Packers "hands team" #86 doesn't have an onside kick go right through his hands and doink off his helmet.
