Schefter: Jets going to pursue Revis

No **** Schefter. I think Woody already told the country in not so many words. It's called tampering.

They should want Revis. Hopefully Revis cares enough about winning that it doesn't matter.

Schefter isn't breaking any rules.
So what you are saying is that any club official can use one of his media sources to convey interest in any player currently under contract without ANY risk, and the league would be OK with it. Well maybe this corrupt and vermin infested cesspool might, but any organization with even a semblance of integrity would not let it slide as you suggest.

I'm saying that your aiming at Schefter is a waste of time. The reporter is not going to give up his sources. And the reporter isn't breaking any rules.

BTW, I'm not in any way Shefter should be FORCED to give up his source by some legal means. Its a simple case of if Shefter wants to keep his NFL press credentials, he'd have tell who it was who used him in tampering with a player under contract. You do believe that what occurred IS tampering, don't you.? Because if you don't there is no need for any further discussion

They give them up all the time. You seem to think having NFL press credentials is a right. It isn't. It's a privilege GRANTED to individuals who have to have certain qualifications and agree to follow a number of protocols. I don't think one of those protocols was aiding certain teams to knowingly tamper with other team's players.

So while Shefter isn't breaking any laws by reporting what he was told from his source, the league has every right to pull his credentials if he were to be "uncooperative" in any investigation that might occur on this matter.

You seem to think that you're making a point. You're not. The NFL is not going to pull ESPN's #1 reporter off the line.

LOL. No, I've made my point. And made clear to everyone but apparently you. Sorry, but I don't have the time to try and clear it up for, since I've made the attempt 3 or 4 times already. So I guess you'll have to remain in the dark for now. I've been around you too long to get drawn into one of your pages long parsing debates. If you want to hear yourself talk, you'll have to do it on your own.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this game.

I don't think many (including Robert Kraft now) would consider the NFL an organization with even a semblance of integrity anymore.

I'm excited for the game tonight, but I probably will stop following the NFL if Goodell sticks around longer than Brady. I was never a big NFL fan growing up, followed Brady to New England because he was my all-time fav player in college. Without him, I don't need this junior high ******** that Roger has turned this league into.

Meanwhile in Phoenix, your heroes are pursuing a super bowl.

IMO, Ken's point was made clearly, and that point is completely separate from whatever the NFL subsequently chooses to do or not to do.

All this does is reinforce the Patriots tampering charge and up any compensation for tampering.

To paraphrase George Orwell all teams are equal but one team is more equal than the others in Goodell's League. We all know what team equates to the pigs.

If this is kosher with the league, I don't see why the Texans don't leak to Schefter or Tania Ganguli that they would love to bring in Peyton if the Broncos cut him. He could be a free agent. The Broncos need to make a call by March 9 to exercise the contract or fully guarantee $19M to Manning. Why not do it Texans? You've got a great defense led by MVP-candidate JJ Watt, incredible WRs in Andre Johnson and emerging star DeAndre Hopkins, a great RB in Arian Foster.

If this happened to any other team than the Patriots, it would be a huge deal. If the Patriots were the ones doing it to any other team, it would be two ****ing weeks of ******** ESPN coverage. Since it happens to us, nothing.

**** you Goodell. **** you NFL.
