B because as a qb, "the ball is your livlihood".

Ok, using that logic, he would note a .01 psi too right? I mean where did he get the .1from?

.1 psi means that one ball has about .3% less air. So if one ball has 1000 units of air the other has 997. Phil would notice as a qb.

This idiot needs to be called out on this.

Unless Sims played every game in his career at 72 degrees and dry. Or the laws of physics didn't apply to Simms' footballs, the answer is without a doubt- no he would not. Because balls, would have routinely been 2+ psi low in NY in the winter and he apparently never noticed.

Hey I can't help it if some craftsmen blame their tools, and others don't.

.1 psi means that one ball has about .3% less air.

.1 psi may mean that the ball is about 2 degrees colder, with EXACTLY the same number of air molecules.

So he is saying that if he has two footballs, both with 13 psi at 72 degrees, and then one of them is cooled by two degrees with no air taken out, that he can tell the difference based upon how stiff/ compressible one ball feels to him, relative to the other.

BS

Yes I see your point that is another way they could differ.

0.1 psi difference in inflation would be indistinguishable from the differences in feel caused by stiffness variations in the pieces of natural leather used for each ball and of the stitching and lacing taughtness. Simms is absolutely full of it.

Seriously though - what does that prove? If Sims can do that - good for him. Don't think that's the issue and Brady never really said that. Is Sims telling me that during the game when the center gives him the ball - he will know the difference of the balls, tell the refs to stop the game and change the ball because he feels they are deflated? What is Sims trying to even prove. This argument really meaningless and without any sort of logic. These former QBs don't even get it.

I guess it's true that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

I believe he can tell. Because if his brain gets .1 less input, it will cease to function.

So, this shows that Simms found out that most of the balls were .1 PSI under 12.5.

No kidding. Whats up with these Simms boys? Did they all live under power lines or something?
