Just a few random thoughts (not sure if they are original, but here goes):

1. Coin Toss.
I know BB will always take the 2nd half possession if he wins the coin toss and honestly, I don't see him changing his stance for this game. But, could there be any reasons BB might take possession first if he wins the toss?

A. Might it throw the Seahawks off a bit by changing things up?
B Seattle typically starts off slow. Not that they mind playing from behind as they are stellar in the 4th quarter. But, could we alter their game plan a bit, if we start off hot and make them play catch-up? Didn't work for Green Bay, but GB also got shut down in the 2nd half of the game. so, if they perform better offense/defense in the 2nd half, would it make sense to get points early?
C. With Seahwaks being a better 4th quarter team, would it seem more likely that we would havethe ball close to the start of the 4thQ. Would that limit their possessions at that time (assuming average of 5 min possessions)?

Probably not. But has possibilities.
2. 2nd Half Improvements.
Both teams tend to excel in the 2nd half of football games. This means they're both fairly intelligence and can adjust quickly to plays. With the sheer number of plays possible, why don't the Patriots start hot? Do they need to see what a defense is doing in order to dictate coverage?

Then again, this might turn out to be another Patriot-Panther SB 38 type game where we expect a great defensive effort and we get offensive fireworks. If it ends the same way, I won't complain and the world will be entertained.
3. Ineligible Receiver.
I expect the Seahawks to be ready for this and not much help in our game plan. They will probably run it once to see how Seattle reacts to it, but I anticipate they'll have studied and they'll be ready for this trick. Both these teams excel at using the right type of play at the right time.

Do they have another trick up their sleeve? Did they decide to pull this out because they were down by 14 (again) to the Ravens? Probably, darn shame on that too.
4. In Game Injuries.
This is going to be a hard hitting game and I expect some starters to head to the sideline. I'm not sure about Seattle's depth but I feel good about ours.
5. Saturday - Walk-through Cancelled?
Not sure what to make of this. Confident that their plan is excellent or more worried about giving away some details to any potential mischief? This has probably been covered well in other threads. If it's confidence, then that makes me a little nervous or should I be ready for something special.
closing thought. For the first time in a long time, I trust the defense.

As much as I'd love to see another angle of the ineligible scheme deployed, like maybe Vereen take a lateral as an ineligible, Seattle is too fast a defense to try anything fancy.

I always thought deferring was for a different reason. When you defer, you get a whole 30 minutes of football and seeing what works and does not to plan one guaranteed series. Also, the psychological impact of doubling up is huge.

Just IMO

My hope (and dream) is that this is like the Detroit game. We have a good stretch were we move the ball, score some TD's and go into lock down mode.

Actually, I recall hearing BB say that when a team scores with the last possession in the first half and then scores on the opening half they tend to win some high % of the time. and we do tend to get more than our fair share of drives to end the half.
