The Broncos are pathetic

I'd make him #1, maybe its just us thats he afraid of.

I was mostly kidding. He's way too soft and disappears in big games. There's no way he would take a major pay cut, as I am sure there are teams willing to give him a ton of money.

I value him at no more than $2-3 million per year though.

The numbers says otherwise, you might want to go over his playoff stats.

You might want to go over Peyton Manning's playoff stats. They don't really suggest he is a choker. We all know better than that though.

DT is soft and disappears in big games. I don't care about the worthless yardage he accumulates between the 20s or the # of garbage time TDs he has.

The fact that Brady would not be leading him to slaughter every throw would also help him be tougher. He would be the outside threat people keep crying for.

My point of view is that while an outside threat is not needed, at the right price, it could not hurt. 4-6m?

I wouldn't mind returning the favor and poaching a WR off Denver. (They can keep WW, lol.) Maybe his stock is down after that sorry, gutless playoff performance.

Exactly! I was thinking same thing! He is a free agent. He is 6'3" WR and has good hands and is pretty fast.
He is also 27. Sign him for same price as Amendola (who will be released).

Now we have a deep threat!

For him? 5-6m/yr. Play on a team that is consistenly in the Playoffs and high-percentage to the SB. Play for a HOF-coach and HOF-QB.

"If you cannot beat them, join them" !

ppl suggesting hes worth half as jules are delusional.

I know I might get clobbered for this but... drop DA, give DT his contract.

Why are people saying Thomas is soft? He was like the only guy who showed up in the Super Bowl last year.

Maybe because in the Colts game he went into a shell and dropped what...3-4 balls IIRC. He's not soft IMO. Now Julius Thomas? Very soft

I would take DT in a heartbeat! One of the best route runners in the game, Brady would love him! Going to be too expensive but he would be fantastic here.

How expensive? Maybe he is willing to get-paid less to get to the SB and win.

Unfortunately, I think the Broncos will re-sign him and dump the OTHER Thomas. But, I think Patriots Nation would LOVE to trade Amendola for DT.
:)

2014 against the Colts he had a td in the first quarter, to go along with 5 catches and 59 yards, I wouldn't consider that a garbage td
2013 first playoff game against the chargers 8 catches for 54 yards (not the greatest of stats) td in the first quarter
second game against the pats 7 catches for 134 yards, catches a td in the 3rd to put the broncos up 20-3, pretty much ending the game
he is the only bronco player who showed up in the superbowl, although his td was pretty much garbage in the third quarter
2012 scores a td in the fourth quarter to put the broncos on top of the ravens, the ravens end up winning as we all know in OT 3 catches for 37 yards, 17 came on that td catch
2011 against the steelers 4 catches for 204 yards, with an 80 yard td to win the game in OT
we all know wht happened against the pats, the broncos were never in that game. So altogether he has 1 td which can be considered garbage in the playoffs. Yards would require more in depth game analysis which I am not able to do at the moment.

It's simply stunning that the Broncos could very well go from being clearly the most talented and balanced team in the conference, to being JUST another contender in the AFCW in less than 6 months. They may not have a QB (thought I think he'll be back), they won't have both Thomas' back, and Ware is another year older and likely to fade even earlier this season.

In comparison, the Pats very young D highlighted by Jones, Hightower, Collins, and McCourty*, will only get better, and the only area that POSSIBLY needs help, the OL, will likely continue to improve. The receiving corps can only get better with more time together, and the RB group of Gray, Blount, Vareen, and Boldin, is certainly good enough to give the Pats a running game good enough to run their offence.

*This assumes the Pats resign or franchise McCourty. Keeps Revis for another year, at least. Brings back Vareen, and drafts at least one offensive lineman in the first 2 rounds

So far from being in the Bronc0's situation, the Pats should actually be coming back with a deeper , more experienced and talented group ready to REALLY embark or an additional 2-3 year run at more tittles

Just another reason to remind yourself to keep Mike Felger away from our FO. ;)

I think the fact that it looked like the Pats were going to lose to the ravens for most of Saturday gave the broncos hope that they would host the AFC championship game, and eliminate the only team that had beaten them left in the AFC playoffs. Then the Pats come back and win, and the broncos are deflated and come out flat versus the Colts and lose.

My gut feeling is that Peyton will be back, but for 1 more year. After that I believe he will hang it up. As for Mr. Brady, I think that he has 2 more yrs left. But that's just me.

Thomas is soft, but I am talking about Julius Thomas. D Thomas plays through injuries.

D Thomas has played with a lot of soft players. The Jets way overpaid for one of them last year. Eric Decker is one of the softest players in the NFL.

DT was the only player on the Broncos roster who showed up against Seattle in the Superbowl. The rest of them saw Peyton sulking and they curled up and quit. DT also played that game with an injured shoulder IIRC.

Drop Amendola and give his money to DT. Our offense would be ridiculous because that's two players (Gronk and DT) that need double-team attention.

DT has been Peyton's blanky for 3 years. He's the one that beat the Steelers in the playoffs (not Tebow), and his YAC are just ridiculous and have made Manning look miles better than he actually is the entire time Peyton has been wearing orange.

It doesn't sound like DT has any intention of returning to Denver. If we sign him, we have a real shot at regaining our `best-offense-ever` title in 2015, and it would be hilarious to see Peyton try to do anything without pro-bowl offensive talent carrying him next year. Denver's offense will be a train wreck without DT.

It sounds to me like he wants to play for a real team, with a real QB.

NE is the place to do that

The Broncos are a soft team. It came from their head coach and their QB. Manning folds whenever things go bad for him. He has the heart of a coward. And when the rest of the team see that in their QB of course they lose faith in themselves as a team. They quit on the Colts.
