Bill Belichick cancelled tomorrow's scheduled walkthrough, per @JarrettBell's pool report. "We’re as ready as we’re going to be," he said.

Sounds like a good sign for the team.

I am so hyped for this game. I'm just hoping I can last until the game and see it through. :)

I am fine with it.

Seattle isn't a complex team. They do a small number of things very well. It is all about health and execution when you play them.

I noticed he did a lot of STs work which is not unusual for him but he seemed to perhaps do more than usual. I think the single biggest match up in favor of either team is our STs vs theirs.

Also i get the impression BB per usual (but particularly for this game) wants a script of things to try going into the game and run through them all by the 1st quarter so he knows what he wants to do the last 3. Makes sense as Seattle will not adjust to match us so the Pats should try a bunch of stuff and simply stick with what proves to be most effective early.

And he would have gotten away with it too had Welker come down with that ball.

While you make a fair point, there is always going to be a play or two that occurs in a loss where excuses can be made. That's what happens when you lose. The fact remains that the team put up a whopping 17 points last time and all we heard was how prepared and ready they were in the days leading up to SB 46.

In BB we trust, but I'm not crazy about the idea of giving the players the full day off before the SB and changing habits at this point of the season. Hopefully, it doesn't make a difference.

Just because they are not practicing, does not mean they are not preparing.. don't they as a group move to some secret location and hunker down before the game today?? They have to do something 53 guys cannot be holed up with nothing to do for the next 30 hours or so..

Suspect that there are meetings and other activities associated with this game...

What!?! Haven't you heard? We could lose because of that. You can't win without a pre-game "walkthrough". It's way more important than running, blocking and tackling.

Just ask Marshall Faulk how critical it is.

+1 on Welker
Also Brady injured his left shoulder when Tuck Landed on him in the 3rd qtr, had completed 16 in a row, his accuracy was sketchy for the rest of the game.

Sounds like they've had some excellent practices.

the media will spin it to something like the pats are being overly confident

The more important fact is that NE, despite getting nothing from their second most important offensive player and a defense patched together with duct tape, outplayed the Giants by a healthy margin. They were clearly more prepared than they were four years earlier and were the better coached team that night. It's still a good sign regardless.

WOW....that says a lot for a guy who preaches preparation up the wazu...this is a small thing but it says a lot....

Belichick must feel that Seattle is predictable on both sides of the ball. Execute what's been put in, and Seattle won't have other things to unveil. The players must be focused and the distractions of deflategate not an issue.

They'll probably work with their position groups, lift and stretch some, watch video, and set their day up to get as much sleep as possible.

I hope they come out of the gate sharp and fast. They didn't after the bye nore in the Baltimore divisional game. In Bill We Trust.
