I have a game plan theory..

BB will WANT Lynch to run. Sort of a throwback to his defensive plan with the Giants against the Bills.
Because, Wilson is actually a very good QB who has won more games with his arm than Lynch has with his legs.

My SB game plan:

BB will pull a 'rope a dope' by letting Lynch run, playing out the string...and Brady strikes with seam passes to Gronk and Vereen.

4 yards and a cloud of dust. They cannot do that for 80 yards.

I would prefer that the Patriots stonewalled Lynch and forced the game into Wilson's hands.
I disagree, and here's why.... Wilson is the reason the Hawks are in the SB. He is far more effective than we on this board give him credit for. Let Lynch get enough yardage to lull the Hawks into a false sense of security , then Brady slams the hammer down.

If he's as great as you say, which I dispute, the best way to defend him is to make him one dimensional by stoning the running game.Letting him pass, run outside, while Lynch run free inside, sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.

Then you're missing the 'rope a dope' if you stonewall Lynch ala the Giants SB game plan. That game plan plays out the string of their 'supposed' strength.

My guess for BB's game plan is that he will let Lynch get yardage...THEREFORE , lulling the Hawks into a false sense of security .....which nullifies Wilson's passing game.

Sounds like a Peyton manning strategy, but check Wilson's statistics against green bay. Why let one of the best rbs run wild, and enhance the running of Wilson?

The game against GB was an aberration. Show me where Wilson had a comparable game.

I'm not saying let Lynch run wild....BUT..let him run enough that the Hawks are feeling that the run game is enough to win.

The more I think about it , the more sense it makes. Just like the Giants v Bills..it keeps the QB from getting really involved.

How is letting lynch run and then brady slamming the hammer related ?

You're trying to take an unusual strategy only used against Manning and applying it to a completely different short running quarterback.

Ali tried the rope a dope to get the scary punching. long looping KO artist, to fight inside and punch himself out. He wouldn'rt apply that strategy to Joe frazier or Ken Norton, because they'd break every rib in his body over 15 rounds.

If you have noticed some thing about the style of of Wilson that would make him less effective because we hand Lynch long drives and touchdowns, you haven't expressed it IMO.

No way this will happen or should happen. Giants vs bills , pats vs rams, those games they wanted bills and rams to run to stop the high powered passing game.
Letting lynch run means, wilson has to pass even less .

Hawks feel they have a gameplay that's working...but we know we're letting them get what they've gotten to that point. Brady puts the hammer down by getting quick scores, then the D steps up and shuts down Lynch and Wilson.

We want Wilson to pass less. HE is the reason the Hawks are even in the SB. NOT LYNCH!!

Because seattle defense will let brady score like we do lynch ? Is that how he drops the hammer?

Everyone is talking about stopping Lynch...Wilson has MUCH better games when Lynch is stopped.

Check the GB game. they didnt run lynch in the first half much .Once they started to get him going he ran for 157 yards and everything opened up . Stopping wilson from running and throwing is a priority. Not letting lynch run all over. Game will be over in the 1st half if this happens.

That was ONE game! You can't game plan tendencies from just one game. My hypothesis is...Let Lynch run just enough to allow the Hawks to believe that the running game will be enough to win the game.

Don't be surprised when in the first half it looks like Lynch is running it down our throats.

The game plan for SB 25 allowed Thurman Thomas to run b/c Jim Kelly and the BUF Bills had one of the more powerful offenses of all time, and they wanted them to milk the clock a bit, while limiting their points in the red zone.

Do you really think that applies in this case? I certainly don't.

If they allow Lynch to run on Sunday they are most likely going to get beat. And don't be surprised if SEA completely tries to take Gronkowski away, thus limiting his production.
