(Post Edit): Breaking: NFL Ref's Press Conference Just Blew Deflategate To Pieces!!!!!!

The media and the haters must be deflated by now.
Are they though? Should we really believe public opinion will be altered? I'm not so sure many people in the media will acknowledge this piece of news.

Just because they didn't write down the pressure doesn't mean they didnt guage test them.

The truth is what the nfl says it is. Refs are trustworthy in their eyes.

Shouldn't the blame be on the officials on the field who initially gave credibility to this deflation complaint? I mean how exactly did this complainer know the balls were deflated? What evidence was there of tampering? If the balls passed a squeeze test on the field, this should not have been given a second thought.

My guess is that the refs were told to take the balls out of circulation by league officials. But that is only a guess.

As Andy Johnson has stated, there is still some additional information needed, but after last Friday's comments from the official NFL statement + today's comments from Blandino, it would appear as though they are claiming that the balls were measured in regards to the pressure.

And, the pressure before the game and at halftime was?

I thought Ian created a whole new forum for the boo how deflate gate crew. Super bowl is in a matter of days. This obsession is reaching catastrophic proportions.

Anyone have a link to where its reported that the 1/2 time #'s were not logged?

The entire management structure of the NFL is a perfect example of the Peter Principle--especially Goodell.

No, the Peter principle states that you were competent at something before you were promoted to your level of incompetency. Unless you count kissing ass as a job...

Aha! This is something interesting........

Jeff Howe @jeffphowe
Blandino said the referee does not log the PSI during the pregame ball check. They're either approved or disapproved.

Guarantee that Harbaugh, Irsay, etc will try to get the competition committee to change the rule so that the balls will have to be checked by the Refs on the field and the results will be recorded..

The refs will love that. Everyone loves when more paperwork and bureaucracy is piled on them. ;)

It's gonna be fun waiting for the ref's to determine the psi of all the footballs. Games will now last 5 hours!

I bet it's more likely the league declares the psi range to be outmoded and in need of updating and comes up with a new range with no upper limit (per A-aron's request) and a lower psi threshold so low that it can easily be discerned by touch.

I'll have to disagree with rlcarr and others saying the Patriots are still on the dock.

Mort's report is bogus.

I can certainly understand gauging and approving the balls pregame without logging.

But they also didn't do it at the half?

What, were they supposed to memorize the drop in 11 of 12 balls (not to mention the 12 Colts balls)?

So now we don't even know what the balls at the half measured.

Does Florio have good sources? Because right now, his reporting seems more accountable than Mort's.

So...when is Krafts apology NFL? God i want to boycott this league so bad....but can't...

They didn't even measure the balls before the game? No sting ops?
