I'm curious how you guys think we compare to the Broncos last year. The Broncos had arguably the best regular season of any team in history. They beat us pretty handily in the Afccg. Most people picked them to beat Seattle and then they got destroyed.

This years Seattle team is pretty much the same as last year. So how are we more likely to beat them? I would argue Brady is playing some of his smartest football of his career. I would also say our defense is better than last years Broncos team. And the addition of Blount has really opened up our offense when he gets rolling. I've just been getting excited because I think we are gonna win and it's not gonna be that close and that's what everyone thought about the Broncos last year. Thoughts?

They beat us last year because we had our best players on both sides of the ball missing. In their own stadium they were only able to beat us by 10 with a bunch of no names on our team. They were undeserving of a SB berth and it showed when they got dismantled.

We're more versatile than Denver was last year. We have a coach who actually can game plan from week to week and opponent to opponent and can utilize that versatility. Better defense, better running game, mentally/physically tougher, and significantly better coaching.

Denver lost that game in the opening minutes after the safety and the big hit by Kam on DT. Seattle was able to break their will. They won't be able to do that to NE.

Oh and Brady >>>>>>> Choke Artist Manning

Several differences, but mostly:
Brady gives his team a great chance to win the super bowl, plus Revis.
Manning gives the other team a great chance at winning the super bowl, and no Revis.

Manning played the worst game I can recall a QB playing in the SB, considering the talent he had around him. If he had played a regular season Manning game, it would have been very close. He is a legendary choke artist.

The Patriots are healthier than were the Broncos
The Patriots also have a better defense
The Patriots have a QB who's probably not going to start choking on the very first offensive play of the game.

The Pats may or may not win this game, but the comparison to Denver does not exist. Denver showed zero mental toughness through adversity vs. Seattle after their opening drive last year, and it's highly reflective of many Peyton Manning led teams.

I honestly look at Brady's weapons last year. It was an honest to god miracle we even made it that far.

Edelman
Amendola
Collie
Thompkins
Hoomanauakdiw
Matthew Mulligan

WTH?! Thats the worst supporting cast in a conference, heck any playoff game ever in the history of football.

The Broncos were severely overrated last year.

This post is ripe with inaccuracies, most notably the parts in bold.

For starters, the Broncos were not even close to being the best regular season in their team history, let alone league history. The 2014 Broncos were better than the 2013 version especially on defense. And yet they still went one and done this year. The reason they looked so good in the regular season last year was because of a weak schedule, and moreover, in the playoffs they played two teams that were walking infirmaries at the time in the Chargers and the Patriots. It showed in the Super Bowl, because unlike the Seahawks, the Broncos were not battle tested by having to go through the gauntlet of great teams in the NFC like Seattle did.

Moreover, the greatest regular season team in league history is the only one to win all 16 of its games, and that would be the 2007 Patriots and it's not even close. That team had to endure a tough schedule against a lot of playoff teams and beat all challengers in a variety of ways. The 2013 Broncos gained their wins by beating on bottom feeders in the AFC South and NFC East, and pretty much losing to anyone good they faced in the regular season (they lost 3 games against other AFC playoff teams).

As for the 2014 Seahawks, they're not as good as they were last year contrary to your statement here. They're still a good ball club, but they've lost several key proponents to their Super Bowl team, namely on offense - the likes of Golden Tate and Percy Harvin made them far more explosive on that side of the ball. And defensively, the losses of Chris Clemons and Red Bryant can't be overlooked either, and going into this game they won't have either Mebane or Hill so they're definitely weaker than they were last season.

The 2014 Patriots are significantly better than the 2013 Broncos. Heck, that Denver team lost to the 2013 Patriots as well when they still had key guys still healthy, namely, Gronkowski. And last year's Patriots squad would get their asses handed to them by this year's team.

The Broncos receiving core is the only thing that is better than ours.

After the Ratbird game, I don't think that's going to be an issue for the Pats.

The two moments I'll remember the most about that super bowl:

Manning miscalling the snap on the first play and taking a safety in the endzone (fastest scoring play in Super Bowl history).

Wes Welker catching a pass for a first down, hurrying to the line for the next play, and looking at the Broncos with disdain like he was the only one who hadn't given up.

The Broncos receiving core is the only thing that is better than ours.

Only in that their WRs are better, as a group, than the Patriots' are, although perhaps not as much as some might think.

The Donkeys, of course, do not have anyone near GRONK's caliber.

The Broncos receiving core is the only thing that is better than ours.
More talented as a whole, but definitely not better suited to play in the playoffs against physical defenses. Our receivers won't pack it in after a couple of hard hits like Denver's did last year.

Their receivers are incredibly soft across the board.

What? lol

Where to begin...

You're drinking the koolaid. I guess that's just what people do now: Koolaid keg stands.

How is the Broncos 2013 regular season `arguably the best regular season` of any team in history? Because they put up 5 more passing touchdowns than the 2007 Patriots? You do realize that rules have changed the game drastically to favor offenses now, right? You don't even get two sentences into your post before losing credibility. How is a team that loses 3 games to postseason teams in the regular season `arguably having the best regular season ever`? Are you a Bronco homer or something?

I know Bronco fans are delusional, only watch Bronco games, and thus sound like morons any time they speak on anything NFL related. Maybe you're just confused.

The 2007 Patriots went undefeated in the regular season and shattered every offensive NFL record at a time when defensive backs could still smash defenseless receivers into retirement. If Randy Moss didn't have to concern himself with worry while crossing over the middle of the field, Tom Brady's Patriot offense would have thrown five billion touchdown passes that year.

The 2013 Denver Broncos were a sad, pathetic joke. They didn't "beat us handily" in the AFCCG - they faced a Patriot team missing its biggest offensive weapons, with nearly our entire starting defense on IR, coming off an off season so bad we had to sign Tebow just for the temporary training camp distraction.

Denver faced Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the NE Patriots practice squad in the AFCCG, which sent a fraud to the Superbowl, and you saw the pathetic results of that.

The 2014 Patriots aren't frauds like the 2013 Broncos, and Brady is our quarterback, not the postseason sulker, Peyton Manning.

There is no comparison between these teams at all. One is battle hardened, having destroyed division leader after division leader in all kinds of adversity. The other was fools gold, stat-padding ******** that lost to the good teams it faced during the regular season, then coasted passed the lolChargers and an injury-ravaged Patriot squad for its Superbowl beatdown of epic lul proportion.

lol @ "arguably the greatest regular season ever"

lolololololololololololol.

This years Seattle team isn't ANYTHING like last years if you ask me. Their defensive line lost two DTs and a DE to free agency and two more DTs to injury. That DL was the secret sauce to destroying the Broncos. Also, Golden Tate is gone.

Our defense has better linebackers than the Broncos did which is hugely important against a running back like Lynch and a quarter back like Wilson.

Ugggh.

For some reason this is the first time I've thought about what we'll all have to endure, should the team not win on Sunday.

I think it was watching this .gif that brought it out in me.
