No one here has to work during the game.....right?!?

Never work Sundays and no work Monday. I'm set. :)

No work but have 2 girls playing in a hockey tournament until about 1 hour from kickoff. Needless to say, I'll be racing home when they are done.

I'd lose my ****ing mind. I only work Sunday's doing my one drill weekend a month and this year was luck enough to not miss any pats games the way it worked out with late games on every drill weekend.

Should be illegal to force somebody to work during the superbowl.

Agreed. Working during thanksgiving for Black Friday. Sure. Super bowl? No way. :)

Skiing, not working. Will be home by 5:30 to prepare the wings and crack a beer.

I had an email out to the boss with about 5 min left in the 4th of the AFCC. Got the Monday after off, so it's drive to New Orleans Friday night, spend Saturday meeting some friends and getting my fill of char-broiled oysters at Dragos (Metairie location - the best one). Then Sunday morning drive to the Beau Rivage in Biloxi for their champagne brunch, a bit of gambling, then the open-bar / open buffet Superbowl Party. Dad's coming up from Florida (he gets free tix to this every year).

Thankfully not, working 12 hour shifts on Friday and Saturday though, then up early on Sunday morning for the first Celtic-Rangers game in 3 years, which should be interesting (think Sox-Yankees didn't play for 3 full years, what the first game back would be like?). Then Superbowl starts at 11.30pm, I will almost certainly be extremely drunk on Sunday night, either drowning my sorrows or the biggest celebration ever. Monday when I eventually get up should be fun.

I work at night during weekends so I was supposed to be working this Sunday, but I made a deal with another manager, who's gonna be filling in for me, and now I'll have the weekend off! I am so screwed for the rest of the month because of this but I couldn't care less as long as I get to watch the game! :D!!!

I specifically chose a schedule that had me off on Sundays and Mondays in case I needed a hangover day. Not a chance in hell I would be working on that day.

working 7 a.m -12 p.m

No working Sunday's for me.. Taking Monday off also because, i'm probably going to be useless either way. Hopefully useless from celebrating!

My wife is an RN in the NNICU. She is working overnight on Superbowl Sunday so I have the kids.
My son was in the NICU for the first 2 weeks of his life, i love those RNs. :) He 15 now and doing just fine.
As for me I'll be home watching the game and i took monday off for recovery. ;)

630 means it wont start till 645 or so

EXACTLY, queue the Allen Iverson rant..........miss the Super Bowl for Practice!?!?! Not a game, but practice? C'mon man, we're talking about practice?!?!?

Aside from vacation we also get 6 individual personal days off. One of them I schedule the day after the Super Bowl every year. It negates the possibility of being scheduled that Weekend. We make our selections in the summer and for some reason I'm the only one that remembers there is a Super Bowl being played in February. Needless to say its funny watching coworkers reactions to being scheduled that weekend.

Currently, I am a stay at home father so I am always working. I only get a break when the kid are asleep. My 3 year old son goes to bed at 8. My daughter is almost 5 months so if she is up, she is watching the game with me!

Hats off that you pull it off. It ain't easy.

Game time for me is around 5:30 pm where I live, and I have to work 6 am - 2 pm.

Today, I was able to request Monday off at the last minute, to my satisfaction (still think it should be an official holiday).

I won't be working, but will be in the hospital caring for my 11-month old son for his first Super Bowl. He had a bone marrow transplant a week ago today due to leukemia. The recovery process can be long, but I'll continue to be there for him. He'll likely be on my lap throughout most of the game. He won't remember it, but I'll treasure our time together during this game for the rest of my life.

Spent a lot of time in hospitals with some of my children when they were young, it can be a very challenging time.Hope your son makes full recovery and my thoughts will gravitate to you guys at times during game.
