The "I'm nervous about Seattle" thread

Due to deflate-gate, I am beginning to get concerned the refs may scew the pats out of a win, but nobody will care because "the pats deserve it for cheating so much."

On any given day, any NFL team can beat another, but I think the pats have the better team overall. I am just a little concerned that the flags will be flying at critical times.

this actually worries me as well. will the NFL direct the refs to throw more flags the pats way so they dont win?

One way to prevent that is to play sound, disciplined football. And if it's obvious that we are getting hosed by the refs make a huge stink about it.

Ok. Onto the game.. Eff the haters. No more empty balls talk. Im not worried. Injury worries for seahawks will tell a lot.

Something that bodes well:

Personally, I hope Seahawks players talk more smack before the game. Because I noticed against teams who do so, the Patriots seem so much more brutal against and are more fired up.

Seattle's arrogance will be their downfall.

Although I do hope the Seahawks provide bulletin board material, this correlation between victory and the other team talking smack hasn't always worked in our favor (Ex: The Jets playoff game, the 2nd Giants SB).

I went looking for this thread to remark on Brady's winter cold and had to dig through 9 (!) pages of Hate-gate threads.

I wonder how widespread this cold is in the locker room and I hope it's not the one I've been battling for the last month.

Then the game is rigged and I would not even care about the NFL any more.

I'm not nervous about Seattle, I've never been nervous about Seattle. The Seahawks are a great team but the Patriots have plans A, B, C and D to possibly beat Seattle where Seattle has plan A.

If the Patriots play well, very well, they win. If they're 5 per cent off, Seattle blows them out. To me, it's that simple.

I recall BB relating a piece of advice he had once gotten from Jimmy Johnson about worrying only about the toughest competition in the league when building a team. I expect BB's immediate reaction to last year's debacle of a Super Bowl was, "Now, how would WE compete against that?"

Pete Carroll has been thinking about the Patriots for about 9 days now; BB has been thinking about that Seahawks team for a whole year.

Then Bill's answer to himself should've been: build a stout OL, especially up the middle.

Yay... onto the Super Bowl! Boo... Seahawks. The one team we reeeeeeeally didn't want to face. That defense. Legion of Boom! Beast Mode! Russell Wilson!

Back to back titles? or nah? Can Brady and the Pats possibly stop them?
Are you the one that starts a thread that your nervous before Every game?

More than nervous, I am annoyed, angry, indignant.....f*ck all the haters.......the pats need to hammer the Seahawks.....go as big as possible with 6 OL and show them what happens when.....,you're just not big enough to stop it.

This sounds like a great idea, especially if it brings Thomas III up in the box to make him test that shoulder over and over again.

To me it's pretty simple. If the Pat's D-Line can play strong and not allow Lynch to go crazy and Brady doesn't make some of the dopey throws he's made this season....we win.

Or to just blow them out of the building.

Leave no doubt.

It's funny, Brady seems to be good for one bone-headed interception (usually trying to go for Gronk) per game now. Hasn't hurt us yet, but could against Seattle. Hope he finally has them all out of his system.

Is it me, or is baltimore better than seattle on offense? I also think baltimore's front 7 is better as well.

seattle contrary to belief isnt a very sack heavy team....IMO we have faced better D-lines all season. Ravens, Jets, Detroit, Miami. Aaron Rodgers had all day back there

I was impressed with how our OL handled that Ravens DL. Give brady time and I feel he will always find the right matchup vs any defense
