Super Bowl Tickets

East coast blizzard has cancelled over 3700 flights so far. Anyone who was going to buy tickets and put together a package of hotel and air may be giving up on that idea around now.

At least the team is getting out of here before it hits!

For those of you who went to past super bowls, can you share your experience about how exciting it was for you?

For those that have never been: The Super Bowl is the Disney World of football. The stadium is surrounded by a compound (for ticket holders only) full of exhibits, shops, interactive displays, places to eat, etc. On-the-field pre-game entertainment starts a couple hours before kickoff with live music and network feeds/special videos on the jumbotrons. Every single seat in the entire stadium has its own commemorative souvenir seat cushion with transistor radio and earbuds (for either team's play-by-play broadcast), flashlight and placards for halftime show. You always want to get into the stadium compound as soon as it opens (I think about three hours before kickoff).

2003 -- My best experience, INCREDIBLY exciting and nerve wracking. Great stadium in Houston. I was at the 5 yard line about 10 rows from the field. I'll never forget the sea of blue jerseys rushing onto the field when the clock ran out.

2004 -- Also tremendously exciting. Jacksonville's stadium isn't the greatest, though, and weather was chilly. Was high in the south end zone around lots of Eagles fans. Seeing the victory confetti fill the air from that vantage point was very cool. The trophy award ceremony always is nice.

2007 -- Really love the stadium in Glendale; nice environment and atmosphere. The game broke my heart.

2011 -- Very nice stadium in Indy, middle of downtown. Electric atmosphere for the game. Another heartbreaking nail biter.

Will be in Vegas Thursday night and hopefully driving to Arizona on Saturday, Sunday to try to find a ticket!

That's risky! Has anyone had any success buying tickets the day of the game?

No, but only because I have been too chicken to try it. Except for Houston in 2003 there have always been ticket sellers outside the stadium on game day.

Well i'm taking a shot, Got nothing to lose, My flight was $250 round trip, used points for hotel and car, so the only thing i'm really spending money is going to be entertainment and gas, and if I don't get tickets to the game I will just watch it at a bar around the stadium and party my ass off when we win!!

For people doing what i'm doing, watch this video

Go to home depot and buy a black light, it will be your best friend, Find someone that has super bowl tickets and get to know how it feels and study as much as you can.

Nice info.. I got cheap hotels and a really cheap flight

prices going back up now..... not looking good

Yup... I Should have jumped when they were around 2k.

It seems like that's just the typical 5 day out price increase to try and lure buyers in. I'm standing my ground. They will drop. They have to drop or they won't make any money.

Buyers have leverage here due to time.

I mean there's atill probably 10,000 tickets left and they all have to go.. If they don't drop significantly by Thursday or Friday I'll be a little nervous. My plan is to wait and if it have to sit outside the stub hub tent 2 hours before the game and buy it on my phone then so be it

That's the place to wait.

I bought my SB 46 700 loge 35 yard line seat for 1000 30 minutes before KO.

Wow really... Do they take credit cards there at the tent?

How does it work? Does the stub hub tent have all of the tickets there on site?

Bought mine for cash from a ticket company from Canada.

They put people on the ground unsold tixs in hand in the 4th quarter of the buy/sell game.
