Employee in Bathroom w. balls for 90 secs

New NFL rule- nobody allowed to go to the bathroom from 3 hours prior to the game until its conclusion. Depends to be announced as new official sponsor. Would fit right in with all the flomax and Viagra commercials.

Can you imagine if he took a 5 minute crap?

If the difference between a #1 and # 2 is the difference between suspicion and total condemnation and universal acceptance of guilt you've probably driven this investigation straight into crazy town.

Then we'd be talking about defegate..

(wish I could claim credit for this one, but I can't)

Sad thing is people (in this country) will use reasonable doubt to prove the Patriots are NOT innocent.

And the ultimate hypocrisy is that few people will call it out or say that their history proves otherwise.
Yup. Easier to say you lost to a cheater if you're Ward, Lewis, et al. than it is to give props and say they really have been the best and most consistent franchise over the past decade plus. Footballers have a lot of pride, so I guess I can't really get too upset when I think about it in those terms. Still, the Pats sadly will not get the credit they are due when this chapter is closed because there will always be people who want to "put an asterisk on it." And, if I'm being honest, can I really blame the ignorant by the word's very own definition?

What amazes me most is that the media has collectively probably spent thousands of hours on this thing. They couldn't get a couple assholes to do the following two things on camera:

1) Inflate a ball to 12.5 psi. Move to 50F environment and make wet. Record results.
2) Stick someone in a broom closet and see if they can deflate 12 balls in 1.5 minutes.

Instead of sitting around and talking about this **** all day, how about one of these lazy ass media people do it. I messaged Mike Reiss & Tom Curran - why didn't Curran do #1 on Quick Slants? We're talking about cheap, easy experiments here. Why are these people getting paid, at all? What value do they bring? Not to knock Curran, I like him a lot - really I'm knocking the ESPN & NFLNs who could've done this 10x over already.

Because they know they will look like idiots.

The NFL said they interviewed the ball boy. If he is the one you suspect then WTF did he say? I cannot understand how it can take this long to figure out how 11 footballs were the wrong PSI.

We are witnessing the dawn of a new age of modern news coverage. All stories, headlines, current and future media focus now evolve purely and with beautiful efficiency solely based on click counts. It's the new digital Darwinism. The hype that gets the clicks survives and lives to seed the next generation of hopeful hype, and so on. And at the speed of the internet we see it split and evolve, breathing new and separate life to entirely new lines of hype driven purely by clicks that we could never imagine naturally. It's Aliiiiiiiiiivvve! :)

527 posts and >26,000 page views on one guy's 90 second trip to the bathroom, which he has made no public statement about.

That's just in this one forum.

The mind boggles.

They interviewed him,,,he probably said he did something stupid like taking a leak. A likely story !

I would think Brady and BB have around 10 people in their life that they solely trust. Most if not all family. Both are probably going to go down as the best at their respected positions QB/Coach. Both are extremely intelligent. Do you all think for one second that either or both were in cohorts with an 18 year old ball boy. A story the kid would probably sell to the media for $1,000 or if smart enough $500,000. You think this kid would not be mouthing off about in front of his friends having a cold one. This a witch hunt and nothing more. I am sure Kraft is secretly securing ownership backing to get his own investigators to investigate Goodell and his underlings. He will not leave this as an open case without countering. His fortune rests on it.

Agreed, but no one has ever questioned the inflation of the balls before, so it's possible they did paid off the ball boy to deflate the balls never thinking they wouldn't need to rely on an 18 year old ball boy to keep his mouth shut.

However, it that were the case, I don't believe they would have come out so strongly in their own defense. That's what sells me on their innocence.

Also the temperature and humidity on the field must remain constant throughout the game regardless if it is an outdoor stadium or a dome. o_O

At 90 seconds he could have pinched a quick loaf.

Imagine if the poor ball boy, after having eaten a particularly bad Taco Bell Burrito, dealt with the aftermath in the bathroom while the footballs soaked up the surrounding putrid air.

Those footballs would most certainly then have had their PSI's affected.

Well, personally, I'd love to talk about the massive dump that I just birthed right now, if you guys want to discuss such things.

After what happen in SpyGate I believe that whole organization would not trust any breaking of the rules in any manner regardless of precedents. BB knows the hate towards him from Goodell after never doing a televised apology from SpyGate. I think they may turn under inflated balls into the officials just because Brady likes the feel of the 12 balls he chose. Yeah turn those 12 in. The officials may approve or fill up a little. But I think with Tom it was more about the tacky ness or texture than actual psi. But I agree with BB, Tom and Kraft all coming out strongly tells me they are clean. They would all have way to much to lose.
