Florio and King on Dale & Holley Think There Was Foul Play by Pats

Because the Colts balls didn't start at the same temperature as the Pats balls. This is the problem that the whole country is having with the comprehension of what happened here.... "well, why weren't the Colts balls deflated then?" It's really very easy, the Colts balls were on their bus before they were checked for pressure, so they would have been exposed to a smaller temperature fluctuation than the Pats balls hence a smaller pressure drop. It's very easy. Please somebody explain this to the mediots......
47% of the country believes God decides who wins the Super Bowl. Is it any wonder why they are having trouble understanding the laws of physics?

King seems to have an open mind on the matter and admits he is confused this is better then 95% of the media morons.

I was however disappointed he didn't mention the scientific angle from his column this am, and his conversation with PBPF this am. or the link he got on head smart labs that he saw.

Not true. He had the Pats dead and buried last week. He even wrote an article stating that there is no way the balls deflated without human hands purposely deflating them.

Over the weekend, he has been given doubt in this. But he still wants to believe they are guilty.

The point of these radio shows is to drum up listeners. The hosts are being contrarians on purpose in order to have controversy, callers etc....

That strategy is not working very well for me. I used to listen to them regularly. I haven't tuned into their show for a week because because of this crap. I've gone back to WEEI.

Peter King did actually make that point. I didn't listen to the whole thing, but he did say that it was very unusual for them to come out that way, and what it meant to him was that Kraft and BB are both convinced they did nothing wrong. I didn't hear where he said he suspected foul play, if he did. He did say he thought they were likely to be punished just based on circumstantial evidence, probably not very harshly.
I did hear Florio say he thought they probably did it.

The Patriots would be stupid to throw down the gauntlet to Goodell if they were guilty. They have guaranteed that if the League finds a smoking gun, there will be an unprescidentally harsh punishment like a lifetime ban of Belichick.

I know people compared this to OJ's denials, but his passionate denials had no bearing on his legal cases. If he was found guilty, he wouldn't have gotten a worse sentence. Belichick and/or Brady will now that they have put Goodell and the league on the defense.

King responded to PBPF and included this POV in his column, I sent him the link too the Head Smart Labs study and according to PBPF he r went to the site, if he weren't open minded he wouldn't have done this.

So pick your poison. Dale and Holley with 2 idiots or Bedard with dumb and stupid.
And that's the size of it.

This is supposed to be a joyful experience for the fans. When we have to continually dodge land mines of mindlessly harsh negativity PERPETUATED BY OUR OWN F*CKING MEDIA to enjoy OUR team in the Super B0wl, something is seriously, sadly wrong. It's like they get a sadistic rush from beating down what's fun and good about it. This makes me sick.

For people to realize this, it would involve:

(a) Thinking
and
(b) Acknowledging that their first impression of this situation was wrong

how long will it be before someone comes forward and is given the incentive to bear false witness

I don't think that local sports talk radio always has to agree with the local team but I'm a fan and I don't want to hear two conspiracy theorists always tearing them down either. The journalists here don't realize how lucky they have it. Can you imagine cover a team that never ever has a whiff of the big stage? What fun is that?

I'd like to add that Matt Chatham on NESN is a beacon of light in the murky drek.

He's a self-admitted Patriots hater.
I know he doesn't like the Pats, I'm saying his stupid articles are funny because how ridiculous they get. Where as King's is just merely idiotic.

Here's the deal.

None of these sports journalists bother to actually corroborate their stories. They hear something from person X and immediately publish it for public consumption without even the least bit of consideration as to whether what they're writing has an inkling of truth.

And that is where I'd like to get to my next point. 24/7 news has entirely destroyed ethical journalism. Everyone wants to be the first to post breaking "news" because information is so readily available across the globe, and exchanged endlessly through various mind-numbingly stupid social media networks.

This pursuit to gain prominence in the journalistic ranks would be fine if it weren't for the lack of any culpability if someone publishes rubbish. That little **** Tomase got away with essentially a journalistic felony, with basically a slap on the hand.

The same holds true with the Felgers, Mazz, Kings, Florios of the world. There is no governing body guaranteeing that these individuals are held accountable for their spurious and scathing criticisms and accusations levied against the Patriots. Without accountability, there is no incentive on these journalists part to report the truth. As far as they're concerned, rumors carry the same weight as the truth, and that, my friends, is truly a travesty.

I never expect them to be cheerleaders, just don't go 180 degrees in the opposite direction 80 percent of the time. It's like these guys enter a fraternity and all take the same oath, "I will not be a fan." Then they get a whiff of the national spotlight and it gets worse.

Totally agree. When discussing (arguing) about this with my friends, it's so frustrating because they spew out all this contradictory speculation, not knowing when a leak has been debunked or changed....they refuse the obvious and try so hard to make the medias square block fit the round hole. They've even admitted that even if the Pats are vindicated they won't believe it. I'm obviously biased but they're aren't. Haha. Is it Sunday yet?!

Dale holley and thorton is the only pleasurable venue atm. When King came on I just turned it off till he left. I have come to realize that I don't expect anything enlightening from such guests, and if they say something positive , you can usually hear or read somewhere else saying something else. As if there is a shortage of anti Pats reporting going on.

Well, that is the problem. There hasn't been on hard fact provided in this case and yet people are making definitive conclusions on things based on rumors that are argued as hard facts.
