All of them not just in the BB/Brady era.

I would go with
1. Packers
2. Bears
3. Rams
4. Seahawks
5. Eagles
6. Giants 2011
7. Panthers
8. Giants 2007

1a. Roger Goodell and the media

Seriously though I would go with this.
1.Bears
2.Packers
3.Rams
4.Seahawks
5.Panthers
6.Giants '07
7.Giants '11
8.Eagles

Thought way to low for Panthers and depending on how Seattle plays sunday I'd have no problem flip-flopping those 2. That was a nail biting helluva game. The Eagles never stood a chance with McNabb. Apologies to GB, but the Bears were an absolute juggernaught that year.

How about ranking the Pats teams that played them?

1. 2004
2. 2003
3. 2007
4. 2014
5. 2001
6. 2011
7. 1996
8. 1985

How can the 85' bears, arguably the greatest team in NFL history, be ranked 2?

1. Bears
2. Packers
3. Rams
4. Seahawks
5. Eagles
6. Panthers
7. the two crummy giants teams

All of them not just in the BB/Brady era.

5. Eagles
6. Giants 2011

The bears in 1985 were unstoppable. Not even close. The Seahawks this year are the closest thing to the bears. The 2001 Rams were an unstoppable force. The Giants teams were actually not very good, which makes those losses the most painful...

  1. Bears
  2. Packers
  3. Rams
  4. Seahawks
  5. Eagles
  6. Panthers
  7. '07 Giants
  8. '11 Giants

It's very close between 1 and 2 for sure.

Like the Bears, the 96 Packers were also one of the best teams in NFL history. Impressed that the Pats were able to play them competitively with basically no head coach.

Also like the Bears the Packers had a suffocating defense. One of the few teams that scored the most points in the league and allowed the fewest. (the Bears are not one of them). The Bears passing game was meh. Favre >>>McMahon/Fuller. I also think the Packers played better opponents. Also AFC in 96 >>>> AFC in 85-86

Bears were an awesome team though. Maybe I should have put them 1A and 1B.

Pats SB teams?
1. 2004 - I think they beat the 07 Pats
2. 2007
3. 2003
4. 2014
5. 1996
6. 2001
7. 2011 - That defense was vile - they should not be higher than this.
8. 1985

How do you fail to mention Walter Peyton?

1.Bears - Best defense ever and Walter Peyton - Enough said
2.Rams - Greatest show on turf and excellent defense - this was an incredible team
3.Panthers - Very good defense and underrated offense - steve smith was a beast in this game
4.Packers - Favre in his prime, solid defense and desmond howard.
5. Eagles - 4th appearance at the NFC Champsionship is the charm for McNabb
6.Seahawks - Solid defense, excellent running game
7.Giants 2007 - got hot at the right time - excellent front 4
8. Giants 2011 - got hot at the right time part 2

If the Panthers had a better QB than Delhomme I think I'd rank them higher.

I just don't see how the 96 Packers were that great. 85 Bears are #1 with a big gap to #2.

1. 85 Bears
2. 01 Rams (people forget they had a good defense to go along with the greatest show on turf)
3. 14 Seahawks
4. 96 Packers
5. 04 Eagles
6. 03 Panthers
7. 07 Giants
8. 11 Giants (worst SB team of all time, they had negative net points during the season)

#1 bears
#2 rams
#3 packers
#4 seaawks
#5 eagles
#6 both gaints teams
#7 panthers

I will rank them in order of who I think would provide the biggest challenge to this year's Patriots team:

1. Packers
2. Giants 2007
3. Seahawks
4. Giants 2011
5. Rams
6. Panthers
7. Eagles
8. Bears

Fortunately there is only so much all the steroids can do..

1. 1985 Bears
2. 2001 Rams
3. 2004 Eagles
4. 1996 Packers
5. 2014 Seahawks
6. 2003 Panthers
7. 2007 Giants
8. 2011 Giants

Should I? Everyone knows Payton was awesome.
Everyone knows their defense was awesome and you mentioned that. You also mentioned the passing game but not Peyton.
