Exploring Goodell's Motive?

Is that a Kraft look-alike?!! Holy schitzkie it looks like him. And was he saying "fungoo!" to Goodel?!
That's Bob. Backstory: it's a clip from a screen test for Kraft's girlfriend (in bikini). Bob was lending a hand standing in as one of the characters. Someone inserted Goodell in place of the other stand-in.

Maybe start the process off with a billion dollar suit? Goodell's good will from the owners comes from their appreciation of all the money he's made for them. Let's see how far that support extends when the dough starts to shrink.
It's what Al Davis would've done. Love him or hate him, he never took this **** lying down.

The way it should have been handled was to say "The condition of the game balls are something for the officials to enforce". Any other sport leaves the field rules on the field. This wasn't drug testing, this wasn't bribery, there was never any reason to take it off the pitch.

I hope when all the investigations are complete, if it looks like Kensil has had undue influence in anti-Pats activity, I hope as part of the process of restoring the Pats good name they go back and review Spygate and Tripgate and the Rats own taping incident that was given a pass, they can bring in Paul Tagliabue to review the findings and punishments and have the penalties adjusted to reflect the offense.

I would think docking the Rats and Pats each a 3rd round pick would be appropriate to reflect a fair punishment, and the Pats previously stolen 1st round pick adjusted for the delay to award them a pick roughly in the 10-15 range.

So many people use the harshness of the penalty as indicative of the seriousness of the offense. That needs to be corrected.

Take off your gloves and fight these bastards in court. You will not only be looking out for your own franchise, but you will also be saving the NFL as well.

1) all the teams have signed contracts forbidding them from suing each other or the league.

2) the liability standard when a public figure is a plaintiff is the defendant had to know the info was false or published it with a "reckless disregard" for whether it was false or not. This the absolute beauty of the leak strategy - it completely insulates the media members from liability - gives them exceedingly strong negative answers to both those prongs.

It would be nice, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Then there is the street...and the law of the "Sudden Punch In The Mouth". More often than not, THIS law not only solves the problem but instills a certain amount of immediate respect that lasts the rest of the little media scumbags lives.

I think Goodell and his stooges went for the bridge too far and overestimated just how much crap Kraft was willing to take for the so called good of the league. This was obviously a diversion to take the heat off the collection of screwups in the past year and to allow the POS to take it easy on Woody and Bisconti for their misdeeds. I would not be surprised if both BB and Brady personally appealed to Kraft to take a stand and the response of the fans may have also played a part. I hope that the bonds between Kraft and Goodell are broken and he can see the POS for what he really is

I agree with you. They need to be taught some manners.
