KRAFT DEFENDS THE TEAM!

Thank you.

That was wonderful!

I can only speculate on what was said on the plane when the Glazer garbage leaked. I love it how we are hitting back in response to this ********.

Thanks for posting that link Chick. I missed the first minute or so and was expecting BB when I turned the TV on. Instead I was pleased to see Mr. Kraft up there making a kick ass statement.

Now that I got to see the entire statement without the surprise element, I got a tingley feeling going up my leg.:D

It was running on the ticker at the bottom of the screen. They were acting like it was established fact. But so much stuff has now been debunked, I don't know what to believe. Either these guys are just speculating, or someone in the NFL is shamelessly leaking stuff.

I just heard on the tv they're investigating a ball boy or something. Went into an unauthorized room after getting the balls before going to the field. Anyone know anything about that?.

Nothing about "unauthorized":

Breaking news: sources tell @FOXSports the NFL has zeroed in on a locker room attendant w Patriots who allegedly took balls from officials locker room to another area on way to field. Sources say they have interviewed him and additionally have video. Still gauging if any wrong doing occurred with him but he is strong person of interest

You have to watch your wording on this stuff, because there's so much being thrown out there that it will make things more confusing for yourself (and 0thers).

What's really scary is the reaction of the public at large.
Human beings and mob mentality is a frightening thing.

Thank you Robert Kraft.
This is all over but the (League) crying.

About time.

Graph proves one thing: Connecticut should be kicked out of New England.

What a azzwipe ! And dumb, I can understand believing something is wrong, but to just discount science,,,

"Science" has been on both sides of this issue.

Everyone is all in now..

I wonder if the leak about the about the locker room attendant was the final straw for Kraft. I have to give Kraft credit. I figured he would stay out of the fight for the good of the league.

Now he has backed Goodell into a corner by forcing him to either produce the goods against the Pats or apologize with no punishment. Anything less and his biggest ally will turn on him. Unfortunately, the League is very unlikely to do the former and it is going to be a huge blow to Goodell if he does the latter because the media and non-Pats fans are out for blood.

I started a thread a few days ago stating the Belichick press conference created a nightmare situation for Goodell. I was wrong. This press conference did. Goodell is now screwed no matter what he does. If I was him, I would look to see if he can prove the Colts set the Pats up and make them the sacrificial lambs.

About time? That's no good...
Yeah, your average NFL fan isn't diving into pressure variables. That's what makes this witch hunt so egregious. They lead with cheaters! Backed with straigh lies (like D'quell) during the SB hype and then the retraction will be in the offseason printed on page 77. The fans are getting bombarded with completely slanted information, and you can't expect they are all going to look it up.

I still haven't heard a good reason why they for apparently the first time ever decided to measure the Patriots balls at halftime over any other team. And if I were Kraft, I would expect a damn good reason.

Yeah, that's the story. On TV they said "it was a room he wasn't supposed to be in," whatever that means. It may mean nothing. I have to believe if there was any truth to the rumors, we'd be getting mea culpa's (like 5-6 days ago), not what we've seen from the higher ups. Unless it was the ball boy acting on his misguided own.

Here's a rough transcript:

"I want to express what an honor it is to represent the AFC in the Superbowl. I know how difficult it is to get to this game. I appreciate the work of everyone who helped to host the event. We are anticipating a great game against the defending Superbowl champions Seattle Seahawks.
Given the events of the last week, I want to take a minute to address the air pressure matter, before we kick off this weeks media availability.

I've spoken with coach Belichick, I've spoken with Tom Brady. I've taken the time to understand to the best of my abilities what goes on in the preparation of game day footballs, and I want to make it clear that I believe unconditionally that the New England Patriots have done nothing inappropriate in this process that were in violation of NFL rules. Tom, Bill and I have been together for 15 years, they are my guys, they are part of my family. And Bill, Tom and I have many difficult discussions over the years, and I have never known them to lie to me. That is why I am confident in saying what I just said, and it bothers me greatly that their reputations and integrity and by association that of our team has been called into question this past week.

As I said on Friday in my prepared statement, we welcome the league's investigation and the involvement of attorney Wells. I am confident that this investigation will uncover whatever the facts were that took place last Sunday and the science of how game balls react to changes in the environment. This would be in direct contrast to the public discourse which have been driven by media leaks as opposed to actual data and facts. Because of this, many jump to conclusions and made accusations against our coach, quarterback and staff, questioning the integrity of all involved.

If the Wells investigation is not able to definitively determine that our organization tampered with the air pressure in the footballs, I would expect and hope that the league would apologize to our entire team and in particular coach Belichick and Tom Brady for what they have had to endure this past week. I'm disappointed in the way this entire matter has been handled and reported upon. We expect hard facts as opposed to circumstantial leaked evidence to drive the conclusion of this investigation.

In closing, I would like to say to all the fans of the national football league and especially the amazing fans of the New England Patriots, that I and our entire organization believe strongly in the integrity of the game, and the rules of fair play are properly, equally and fairly enforced. Thank you."

Not sure exactly what you mean, but Pats side has shown examples and experiments , while the others just talk and beliefs. AS for the Colts balls, well I guess we don't know what their psi was to begin with.

That's what I've been harping on. There is no standard as to what that pressure is supposed to be, because no one has measured it before (at least that I can tell). If the NFL has done extensive, or even not so extensive, testing and measurements of balls during the game, they haven't said a thing (like just about everything else here).

From the report I heard, there was a 10 minute delay to the start of the game. It makes sense that someone would wait inside an additional few minutes instead of heading immediately out into the rain. I grant that it also makes sense that he could take advantage of those extra minutes to play deflation games, but, assuming the report I heard was correct, there is a perfectly innocent reason as to why he might have done what he did, even if it wasn't a bathroom break.

It will be interesting to hear Felger and Mazz tomorrow:

Last week their stance was: "You know Belichick really didn't really stand up for himself. I don't know if I believe him"

Today it was: "Belichick was awesome, but since Bob Kraft has not defended him it is clear he is guilty"

Tomorrow it will be: "Sure, Kraft really made a strong statement in support of Belichick and Brady, but where is the locker room attendant and why isn't he talking?"

Extremely heartening to see as a Patriots fan. Not only because this untoward stream of anonymous leaks from the NFL deserves a strong, public rebuke, but because Kraft's certitude implies confidence that they will be exonerated. And what a glorious, glorious day that will be.

Agree completely. And the best part was calling them out on the leaks. Now the NFL had a huge problem on their hands. They have to stop the leaks but when they do it shows they knew who it was all along.

Bad day to be a Jim Kensil fan.
