For Eight Days, The NFL Leaks, But Will Not Comment = The Fix is In

Goodell was at the AFC championship game. I heard he was at Krafts house afterward. If the NFL launched a sting as some have suggested, It doesn't make sense that Goodell is yucking it up with Kraft after the game.
Even without a sting, knowing what transpired with the balls, it doesn't make sense that he parties with Kraft and BB and Brady don't find out until the next morning. Somehow Kraft is colluding with the NFL on this for some strange purpose. I had a wild theory one night that Kraft (and BB?)wants to let Brady go after this season and Goodell is helping him by manufacturing a scandal. If that is what is happening, that means they are going to lay this on Brady. Of course, it might be something else entirely but it doesn't add up the way this went down.

Goodell after the Ray Rice debacle promised more transparency. I guess that is out the window.

It isn't uncommon during an investigation to give official updated. For example, there is absolutely no way it would hurt the investigation to confirm or deny Chris Mortensen's report or Mike Florio's report on the level how much PSI below the 12.5 PSI mark the 11 balls were under. If Florio's and others reports are right and most of the balls were only about 1 PSI below 12.5 PSI, it changes the entire national discussion so most of it is based on Mort's report that they were all 2 PSI under.

It is clear the League wants the Pats to twist in the wind. More likely that they have nothing, but this is the best way to punish the Pats without being able to punish them.

I do not see how this could be put at the feet of Brady. The buck stops with Belichick, period. Nobody is going to buy that a ball boy was being told to take air out of the balls by Brady on the side.

I suspect that the video will show nothing but he ball boy taking a leak before hitting the field. No video evidence of tampering.

Huge egg on the face of the NFL to tarnish the biggest game of the year on something so minor, what a complete faulk up by the NFL.

I hate to keep doing this, but. Bob Kraft should make a public statement demanding the NFL investigates the leak and that they fire the person(s) who are doing the leaking and make their name public.

Come on Bob, show some inflated balls.

This poor locker room kid is a non-story. He was interviewed by many people last week and if anyone thought he was responsible it would have been published by last Wednesday.

Obviously the NFL front office is a cesspool. The leaks and unconfirmed sources keep planting daily seeds that keep the media interested and cackling. It has taken several days, but my belief is Bob Kraft knows his organization is innocent and he personally demanded this full investigation to exonerate his club. He knows a statement from the NFL office isn't enough. He also knows a full investigative report carries considerable public sway, especially as he saw this thing go completely out of control nationally.

They certainly took the joy out of this Super Bowl. Such a great matchup too. All this grief over absolutely nothing.

Think of this...what's better for Kensil? Catching the Patriots red handed, everything is sorted by Monday afternoon OR leak "information" for over a week that is all anti-Patriots in 2 weeks where the focus should be on the Seahawks?

The bitter old Jets employee didn't set up a sting to catch the Patriots, he knew his High School physics and blew it up into some sort of ridiculous international (it's not just American news that carries this) scandal.

THIS!

Since they can't get at BB/Pats via the evidence at least they can hang them in the court of public opinion.

It is unconscionable that the investigation cannot simply share the data on the psi.
Why not?
Because it invariably lends credence to the science explanation, a narrative they don't want.
The league office has an entirely different story in mind.

As I said previously, the news purveyors control the story.
If they don't talk about it write about it, it didn't happen.
That's their approach to the science explanation.
Ignore it and post, "Look! Look a squirrel!!!"

Sorry but again, science proves the balls inflated and measured inside and getting wet MUST deflate. Not may, MUST. This is science. Experiments have proven it as well.

I don't care if Hernandez broke out and had the balls, they MUST DEFLATE PER SCIENCE. This is a smokescreen as the heat is on the NFL. Don't worry for a moment the ball boy did this.

I hope you are right but believe you are dreaming if you think this firm was hired to exonerate the Pats. They have been given an agenda by the league and they will follow it. As i wrote previously, if the NFL want to exonerate the Pats all they needed to do is release a scientific study showing what happens with the change in temperature. Of course that wouldn't convince the flat earth people but rational people would accept it and the game could proceed with the cloud they created. I also believe that Kraft knows or anticipates the fix is in and doesn't want to use his supposed influence to help his team or hurt Goodell.

:mad:This SUCKS! Our team is in the Super Bowl and we can't even enjoy it. :(
Thats their objective and they have succeeded on various levels depending on each persons own reaction....The old saying is holding true..Misery loves company, so lets try and make them miserable so we can`t be lonely miserable pricks, though actually, they have plenty of company, so its more of ha!, we can`t enjoy this so we don`t wan`t you to either.

Kensil is behind the leaks. Not Ted Wells.

Think about this too...why did Belichick finally speak out about Spygate in his last PC? Another Kensil link?

This runs deeper than Footballs at this point, Ted Wells knows it, Robert Kraft knows it and Roger Goodell knows it. What we need to find out now is if Goodell is working with Kraft to eradicate the rotten part of the NFL or of he's working with the rot.
Kensildick and BB is like Universal Soldier...

Touchdown.

No way Ted Wells leaks. He has way too much to lose.

The last paragraph is spot on.

Like many of you, I just don't give a sh!t anymore.

They've already ruined what should have been a great two weeks. What's the point in having a favorite team - and spending gobs of money on it - it this is the result.

I will re-think things over the offseason. Seriously, "best John Cleese" WHAT IS THE BLOODY POINT ?

I heard that Kraft was the one who wanted someone from the outside to investigate this.
1) he wouldn't do this if he thought there was any malfeasance on the Pats part.
2) He knows Kensil's was in charge of this and knew he wouldn't get a fair shake.
3) BB wouldn't have done the presser in the manner he did if he thought there was an iota of a chance something happened to those balls other than normal atmospheric conditions.
4) Kensil's the one leaking this stuff, Goodell either has no control over this or he's okay with this or he's inept, actually could be all 3.

This entire situation reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld...minus the good humor and the witty banter.

ok this is extremely odd.... if there is video of the ball attendant going into a room right after getting the balls then why would BB hold a press conference on Saturday basically firing back at the NFL. None of this honestly makes sense unless BB is daring Goodell into disciplining him.

What about the contingency ball? not much has been written about them. Were they measured? If 24 balls were submitted are 12 picked randomly as batch 1 and then the rest are contigency? wouldn't the 12 contingency be underinflated too? there are just too many question marks here with little information given except for "convenient leaks".

In the meantime just when you have a chance to start enjoying the experience there is a source with NFL information to bring you back into this and ruin your experience.

This could be your last Pats Superbowl for the next 3 decades and each one of you is being robbed.

It's so ironic that the other coach cheated his way out of USC and won last year with PED guys

Sadly, this will be BB's downfall. Brady has the NFLPA to back him up if they go after him so they'll go right at BB just like they did to Payton. Neither are apart of the Coaches association so they're actually easy targets.

What's funny is we're the only ones who are actually seeing the inconsistencies of this stupid investigation. EVERYONE else is wanting the league to crucify Belichick and doesn't care about facts.

Like one poster said if they take BB down I'm done with this stupid league.

And if I'm Kraft ( which I'm obviously not) I call Goodell and tell him point blank, " I'm tired of the BS leaks coming from your office. It ends right now or the next one will be the last one with you as commissioner. I backed you on the Ray Rice fiasco but if one of your minions keeps trying to screw us and leaking, your job will be in jeopardy. Get your house in order. Are we clear??"
