Jay Glazer says NFL has zeroed in on locker room attendant

WHAT WAS TAPED YESTERDAY?

I really hope bill keeps his guys focus. This is why I wanted closure today. This is so deliberate

Honestly, all this shows is what a media war this is.

Seriously may be the last football game I watch.

Kraft put the brand of the NFL over everything else. At this point, the League cannot exonerate the Pats without looking really bad. Kraft will bite the bullet to protect the league because he knows the perception of the Patriots will not change either way.
If the Pats are truly innocent of any wrong doing. I think that would be the end of BB here, he did not sound like someone who was willing to take the fall for something his team didn't do Saturday.

Pats should refuse to play on Monday Night Football ever again.

Nothing is proven by this. The equipment guy could've done anything when he detoured. Slipping needles into the footballs is one of the less likely scenarios.

Unless he's confessed, or taken a lie detector test....they have nothing to work with.

How is it a less likely scenario if the guy handling the footballs detoured to another room and then the balls were found under the 12.5 PSI requirement? WTF?

Christ some of you guys are ridiculous. At this point I don't give a **** what happened, I HOPE the Pats didn't do it but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I'm 50/50 at this point.

I agree. I dont follow the other 3 sports anymore. I can see going 4 for 4 soon. Too many losers, and jealous crybabies in the world.

I have a list of every team and all the cheating all of these teams have done over the years. Where is the outcry on any of that?

Nobody likes a winner.

I'm sure this getting leaked while the Pats are in the air is mere coincidence.

So, if it's video from Gillette, the Pats would've reviewed it already. If they did that and denied everything, there's nothing incriminating on the tape.

Currently, Glazer's scoop is "Ballboy on video carrying footballs."

Interesting that you say this. I was just thinking that as much as I'm interested in watching the SB, I'm just as anxious to be done with this damn season.

Can you imagine how pissed Goodell is after yesterdays BB PC?! Probably went into spasms>>" lets get anything I mean anything on Pats, at least to screw up their SB" He was pissed when BB didn't apologize like he wanted, imagine now

Belichick and Kraft would have seen this video if they did their own internal investigation. The NFL is still grasping a straws.

Glazer-
Breaking news: sources tell @FOXSports the NFL has zeroed in on a locker room attendant w Patriots who allegedly took balls from officials locker room to another area on way to field. Sources say they have interviewed him and additionally have video. Still gauging if any wrong doing occurred with him but he is strong person of interest

"...to another area on the way to the field."

You mean like a hallway or tunnel between the officials locker room and the field? I would imagine the official lockerroom doesn't have door that opens directly on to the field. It's not like Glazer said "took the balls to another room where he was out of sight for a minute or two.

"...sources say they have interviewed him and additionally have video."

Um, duh. Of course they interviewed him. He had custody of the balls at one time of another. They'd be negligent if the didn't interview every ball boy in the building by Monday evening. What's more, it's a stronger sign they got nuthin'. If they did, $##t would have already hit the fan by now they wouldn't still be "gauging if any wrongdoing occurred".

"...he (the ballboy) is a strong person of interest."

See above

(I'm not disagreeing with sb1, just dissecting the article he posted)

Hard to believe patriots dont know what is in every video the NFL can review, R E L A X.

Yup. If they did this and there was even a miniscule chance that physical evidence existed, Bill doesn't hold that press conference.

Of course, Bill could be banking on the employee knowing what to say whenever interrogated, but that would also require complete confidence on Bill's part for him to take such a definitive stand.

I can't claim to be unbiased, and there is still a lot of information yet to come, but the timing of this almost makes me more suspicious of the league rather than the Patriots. Bill's PC had cleared the air so well that it was most sensible to take advantage of the turning tide and move on from this non-issue. Hell, even if you wanted to continue the investigation, it still was prudent to let the story settle down and focus on the game, coming back when it wasn't such a hot topic. Either way, there was no reason to leak this now if you are genuinely acting in the best interest of the league rather without a separate agenda.
