Barstool Sports: Rumors that the Colts' Equipment Manager deflated Intercepted Ball

News and innuendo has gotten creative.

Ladies and Gentleman we have officially jumped the shark. Call Fonzy/Henry Winkler out of retirement.
Hey man, after the BS the Pats have had to deal with before the SB and BB coming out swinging? I'm sharpening my pitchfork right now.

I don't think there is any validity to this rumor, but I think if we've learned anything from the past it's that you don't take videos of an opposing team's sidelines and show the league, even if they're legal. Come on People!

Sure you can.

If it is taken not from the sidelines and in an area covered on 3 sides.

I pitchfork made of 100% iron is better than one made of tinfoil.

If they were ever able to prove this which I would be just as hard as proving one of the Patriots staff did it I cannot imagine the impact to the league. About the only way I see it happening is if they were caviler enough to actually do it on the sideline and somebody leaked the video forcing the league's hand. If that were to happen obviously Kensil is gone but I think that would have to cost the Colt's a lot more then the 500K and first rounder the Patriots were penalized. The money whatever but I'd settle a first getting transferred to the Patriot's as damages. I think we would all have to tweet at Marshall Faulk what a crooked franchise you played for, b!tch.

So given the ban on taping sidelines by the teams, where would the tape come from that would show either:

A. Ball boy/equipment mgr on Pats' sideline "deflating" balls
B. Equipment mgr on Colts' sideline deflating the intercepted ball

There is no ban on taping the sidelines of teams.

You just cannot do it from your OWN sideline.

As I said it would be really hard to do. Likely something picked up in the network broadcast or a fan video.

Congress and the Senate will become involved. The NFL has an ANTI Trust exception which has been looked ta by congress in December for their ray Rice fiasco. Write your congressmen and Senators.

Dude, we are trying to keep the stupid OUT not bring more in! :p

Right, now it's coming back to me. More confirmation of the uselessness of journalists.

Anyone ever notice that journalism has gone down the toilet with the ascendancy of schools of journalism at colleges and universities? Odd, that.

I definitely think the Patriots need to tell the league they want Kensil investigated and that they want to know who on the Colts handled the ball and what they may have done with it. The patriots need to fight back hard on this.

We have to stop using the bad ones as our sources. That would be a good first step.

If Kraft hasn't already done that, then HE not Belichick is the real "schmuck".

You mean like ESPN, CNN and ABC?

Agreed.

Somehow, I think (and kind of hope) that we ain't heard nothing yet. I think this might blow up in the faces of the Colts, Ravens and the NFL.

Its been stated numerous times by many people who know far more about this situation than us that the assertion that John Harbaugh and the Ravens had anything to do with the Patriots being investigated for illegally deflating their footballs was completely false.

Nothing is going to blow up in the Ravens faces because they have nothing to do with this.

Wrong or right the point the article makes has a basis. They were the last to have possession of the ball. A ball which if we are to believe latest psi speculations was1 psi below the others. From the moment the colts handled it, the Pats cant be held responsible for it. Just imagine if this was turned around and the Pats turned in the 1 10.5 psi ball and the colts other 11 were 11.5 ! Of course the Colts are above reproach

I just watched the local news. All this is now mute for us living in the Northeast. We are all going to die.
