CHFF:Bill Belichick to Football World: Go F Yourself

Required reading for self-righteous media types:

... any person with a brain knows that this has been a ridiculous story all along perpetuated by the many victims of Belichick's Patriots, the greatest victory machine in the history of North American sports -- a team that's won nearly 80 percent of its games over a a decade and a half and that next Sunday makes an incredible sixth Super Bowl apperance since 2001.

Outstanding piece. Thanks for sharing.

Where did this come from? Do you have a link to the entire quote? Thanks.
It's in the story SVN linked to in his OP. (SVN provides great links but often doesn't summarize so I was moving the pile a bit)

Only lunatics and jealous idiots in other towns still believe Darth Belichick and the Evil Empire cheated by lowering the pressure of their footballs, for one half of one game. As if it had any impact anyway on a game that was never in doubt, a dominant 45-7 win over the Colts in the AFC title game.

Belichick essentially bet his career and the reputation of the powerful Patriots organizaton on the fact that he and his team did nothing wrong. If it's a bluff, it's the ballsiest, most high-risk bluff in history.

But any person with a brain knows that this has been a ridiculous story all along perpetuated by the many victims of Belichick's Patriots, the greatest victory machine in the history of North American sports -- a team that's won nearly 80 percent of its games over a a decade and a half and that next Sunday makes an incredible sixth Super Bowl apperance since 2001.

The truth is a lot simpler than the needless hysteria.

Great article, thanks!

That was a great read. now that a few days have passed it seems more absurd, more ridiculous that all this is over a missing PSI in the footballs used in the afcccg. In a test i saw on bspn earlier in the week no one could tell the difference between a ball that was inflated to 12.5 psi and one that was inflated to 10.5 not trey wingo or any of the ex players that tried. They all said they couldn't feel any difference. They even went as far as to show a cold wet underinflated ball had less velocity, and tended to wobble in flight. So what advantage did Brady have in throwing one .....None. The motive all along is that it would be easier to grip and throw an under inflated ball. But while in theory it may be easier to throw, after its released it becomes slow and wobbly, more prone to be intercepted. So why would TB or any other qb want that ...they wouldn't. So right off the bat the whole reason for deflating a football turns into a steaming pile of sht.

The video i watched featuring wingo doing a 'sports science' test on wet underinflated footballs i mentioned above has been taken down. You Know the fix is in.

It is now clear that the NFL was out to get the Pats, they tried to set them up. Because the Pats did nothing wrong the NFL and it's "useful idiots" in the media now have to try and save face.

I can only hope the Pats win this SB and rub it in everyone's face!!!

If you think this is over, you're wrong.

It will end (in the national media) the day after the Superbowl, regardless of outcome, the same way the Ebola hype mysteriously disappeared after the election.

Good Morning America this morning - an hour ago - Bill Nye the Science Guy said Belichick's explanation made no sense. There was no counter argument, no mention of Carnegie Melon...just, there it is, folks.

Then they had on some former QB I never heard of, who was better, but not by much.

As I mentioned before I expect the NFL to counteract days before the superbowl either directly or via leaks to further cause trouble . Brace for it.This is not over.

Wow! Great job Bill. Anyone who doubts our HC or team is a fool.

He put a couple of direct hits across the bow of the Good Ship NFL, which under Goody is more like the S.S. Minnow.

Is there any doubt left that we are the luckiest fans in the league?

Goody is going to call Tommy LomBrady in for a meeting an hour before game time.

Except I don't think Bill is gonna take any more of their ****. They wanna play dirty? Goodell and his court jesters better brace as well. imho, of course....

Just wait, once the NFL releases their statement saying there was no wrongdoing, they will put it back up to show how they were for the facts.
Right now they are getting more audience by milking the hategate for all its worth.
They are slime.

hate to say it, but IMHO, Dodger Roger is going to unleash something far worse than an interview with Brady, or a fine. He will unleash the refs in the Superbowl, insuring Bill and Bob won't be on the podium covered in red, blue and silver confetti.

If that's done, the NFL becomes the WWE, WWF, just an exhibition and entertainment, not a real sport. One step closer to NFL armeggedon.....

Unfortunately I believe that it already has become a fixed outcome league. Follow the money and reasoning and you can see the Superbowl and playoffs for at least since the "Patriots" won in 2001 right after 9/11. Saints aerial attack gets legendary right after Katrina..... Steelers win 2 hotly debated (officiating wise) Superbowls against small market teams. 2 African American coaches appear in a Superbowl (in the same year no less) brother against brother Superbowl. Jake plumbers Broncos get handed the ball at the 1 yard line several times for PI just to make sure the pats don't win 3 super bowls in a row in the salary cap era. Bad officiating in Superbowl 42, to keep a perfect season from happening in the cap era.........
They all follow the money and big historical storyline.and the Pats have either been the victim of or beneficiaries of the "fix"
It also is worth pointing out that the Superbowls the Pats lost were to another big market team.... so there was no financial detriment to the league.....kind of makes you think further into how 2 pretty scrappy Giants squads won 2 Superbowls

I wish I could feel different, because I love this game and the Patriots.
Flame me. If you need to because of my conspiracy theories... like I said I honestly wish I didn't feel this way, just at some point logic has to make you look at the coincidences and think that they might not be such coincidences... since the outcome is almost always beneficial to the league.

I'm not going to start another thread on ballghazi just to post this article, but maybe the tide is turning.

The NFL Will Conclude Belichick And Brady Did Not Cheat

Comment Now
investigation into the deflated footballs used by the New England Patriots during their AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts that neither head coach Bill Belichick nor quarterback Tom Brady deliberately did anything to deflate the footballs below the league limit of 12.5 pounds per square inch.
The media has been quick to jump on Spygate–when the Patriots videotaped the defensive signals of the New York Jets during a game–as evidence that Belichick is a serial cheater. But the media seems to have forgotten that, Jack Del Rio, then the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, said at the time it was commonplace to study actions on the opposing sideline. ”I think all teams do that,” he said. That’s been going on forever.” And former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson said at the time: This is exactly how I was told to do it 18 years ago by a Kansas City Chiefs scout.

The headline is misleading. BB never said those words. However the overall article is entertaining.

BB was clearly tired of all the BS and took matters into his own hands. The Pats conducted their own investigation, BB was confident in the results, and thus the tour de force Saturday presser took place. BB ain't taking prisoners here NFL! Better back away while you can because the gloves have come off!!
