They never checked the footballs?

I really hope it's true. This is from yesterday though and I want to see it on something besides Bar Stool Sports.

Look closer at the byline - - just click on the NBC, it is an NBC.com story.

As I said before, the NFL is caught in a sham. They are not releasing their report yet because they are trying to find a way to save their own butts.

They are trying to make us lose focus on the task at hand. Our guys need to come out and execute and win the superbowl

If this was a "sting" on the Patriots with the league's involvement, they probably checked the balls this time.

More likely it was less organized than that. The Colts' equipment manager, who's paid to be anal about footballs, noticed something; corrections were made at halftime; Irsay was told and decided to be an ass; Kravitz, who other motivations even aside was surely delighted with the scoop, was his willing tools.

I posted that theory before, especially since it was an All Star crew and likely it became a "I didn't check them,I thought you checked them" scenario.

If the sting was part of checking the balls, how the hell did they not keep track of them.....I doubt they involved the refs in the sting

I really doubt the NFL was involved in any sting. I can believe that Irsay in his coked up brain of his thought it would be a good idea to try on his own though.

Another discontinuity is with the complaint back in November......they had no clue they would be playing the pats again in the playoffs......if they complained back then, the only logical response was to follow up then ..... The league is too smart to save this for the AFCC.....the only option that makes sense is that the colts complained last week

no sting. 99% of the leagues story is a lie.

Unfortunately, this "story" is from a former ball boy who was with CHI 12 years ago, and has been spread around since day one of the whole ordeal.

It's a simple story from a kid who was a ball boy back in 2003. He has no idea what happened last Sunday night in Foxborough, and neither do we. All we know is that the NFL has stated as recently as Friday afternoon that the balls were good prior to the game, so I'm guessing.....that they're probably going to stick to that story.

It's unfortunate that this hasn't been put to rest yet because it's total ********
, but I don't think this article proves anything aside from barstool sports being about 5 days behind the rest of the media.

It sure would be nice to have the truth come out sooner rather than later though, because it's taking too much focus away from the game, especially at a time when there are lots of casual viewers tuning in for the SB and media day, etc.
