Anyone disagree that Bob Ryan and Ron Borges will write a column killing BB tomorrow ?

The My Cousin Vinny reference was probably the greatest off field Bill Belichick moment ever.

BB threw down the gauntlet. If the NFL is going to level any punishment, there will be a legal battle.

No there won't. The 32 teams have all signed contracts to not sue each other or the league.

i wont read it if they do.

Did BB sign that document? If he has a legal battle with the NFL, I will give at least $1000 to any fund that supports his legal costs.

Ryan already said this morning that he has written one for tomorrow excoriating him.

I don't understand why people think the patriots need to show why the colts balls didn't deflate. The patriots showed why their balls deflated as they did and that is all they need to do. If you want to know what the deal is with the colts balls, ask them. It's a totally different question.

So, about this issue of the Colts balls being legal at half time

We know that the Patriots probably kept their balls inside before handing them to the ref.

Who said the Colts kept them inside? What if the Colts balls were already acclimated to the outdoors because they kept them in a bag outside that day? That's certainly possible. Assuming that's the case, it would explain the Colts balls.

This whole thing has so many holes in it, that it renders the NFL rule about PSI values embarrassing.

I agree. I think he chose that analogy because it was perfect. The ineptitude and bs of the judge and prosecution would transfer directly to the actions of the NFL and the media. BB is brilliant and this may be his finest performance. I don't know how deep these conflicts run, but I guaruntee to you that BB's actions today have significantly altered the course in NFL history.

IMHO this has been a no-brainer all along. If the ball in inflated inside at a higher temperature (and rubbed up, which could in fact increase temperature even more), OF COURSE it will be deflated when it is taken out into the cold, this is not complicated and not controversial. ...............................
Wow! I'm an auto repair shop owner and have been a mechanic for 40 years and now it finally dawns on me the reason for me having to tell my customers to check the air pressure in their tires as summers goes and winter arrives! Hey thanks!;)
Apparently I'm not the only one that didn't know that!

It seems impossible that people are actually that stupid.

I am so mad I had to miss this live. Just watched this and that was one of the best press conferences I have ever seen. I had a Terrell Owens moment yelling "That's my coach" in the middle of it.

I love this team

The insane Steve Serby (NY Post) "debunks" BB's press conference. Please read this and then please send him an e-mail questioning his sanity. This is one nutty NY'er...

http://nypost.com/2015/01/24/the-glaring-holes-in-belichicks-deflategate-science/

a direct quote from this sub-human waste of DNA

"Deflategate is all about making the texture and feel of the football comfortable for Brady."

The dead potted palm on my porch is smarter than this tick brain.

What angers me is that our guys have to do interviews with BSPN.I never seen such character assasination without any prove in this case. That bothers me so much.

Please stop. There is not a single thing from the NFL that the Colts balls were legal at halftime. Nothing. They never stated they measured them at halftime. Never never never. Put yourself in the refs position, they get the complaint at halftime, do you think they even had time to test the Colts balls? No way.

So here's a possible explanation for the Colts balls.

They had them outside before handing them to the ref...
The ref gets cold balls and inflates them properly.
Now, for the next two hours, the Colts balls actually rise in pressure because they warm up.
Then the balls go back out to the field and the ball pressure drops to normal range.

In the Patriots case, the balls were stored inside, inflated when balls were room temp, then brought outside where pressure dropped.

That doesn't make him immune to people turning him off. I'm not sure how he succeeds really at this point. It's clear his target audience is people that hate the respective teams (other than the Bruins). How do you build a local sports personality on an audience of people that hate the teams?
Felger and Mazz need to be Tomasi'd. Tomasi still has a job but no real fan has any respect for him and no one has let him forget the walk-through type lie.
