Look back at the 2012 game vs. Seattle

I remember back in '07 claims that the Giants offence was a joke and that we'd run right over them.
Guess what, their defensive line proved formidable enough to seriously stunt our offence.

The same holds true this year.
If this offensive line does not hold up against the Seahawks, they're fwcked even before the game has started.

True but, for once our line has been great in the playoffs. Solder is much much better than he's played all regular season.

The Giants D-line SWARMED our O-line. I remember thinking "They can't keep up this pace." Yeah? Screw me, they did. I expect the same from Seattle. They'll come after Brady like a freight train all game. His release has to be lightning fast (lucky for us it is).

I recall we butchered the end of the 1st half when we were in seahwaks territory and got no point, i also recall 3 and 1 and brady threw an end zone interception. An awful performance.

Yup and that cost the Pats the game.

What's This talk about an awful performance? They had over 500 yards of offense

OP mentioned SB will be on neutral site and not in Seattle. I remember quotes from Broncos players, after last year's defeat, saying how surprised they were at how loud the crowd was at the SB for the Seahawks, and it seemed that contributed to the bad snap/fumble at the start of the game. Here's hoping BB has been cranking the noise in the Dana Farber field house during practice this week.

I was re-examining the Superbowl game from last year and the Seahawks almost seemed like a different team. Wilson was very efficient and in many ways explosive. The seahawks are a very fast and ball hawking team. I wonder if the Pats can use this to their advantage and use some mis-direction and deception to get them going the wrong direction.

The other thing was that Denver just abandoned the run. Without the fear of the run, you just make your team one dimensional, and the Hawks will just roll you over.

This will be the thoughest matchup of the year for the Pats. The best back end with very good players all around. It will be very interesting to see what the Pats plan is.

This Seahawk dline isn't even close to that Giants dline that line was one of the greats. They barley got pressure on Rodgers last week and only had 1 sack. Also Rodgers multiple times had all day to throw and all this was in Seattle. They won't put constant pressure on Brady unless they blitz.

Gronk should change his arm brace to a white one. I've noticed that defenders glove color gets hidden in the black of his brace. I think Pats get a better shot of PI with a different color brace for Gronk.

Also Harvin ain't walking through that door like he did last year.

Not trying to bash Mankins, but I feel somewhat at peace knowing he won't be there to screw us over.

What? They've had no pass rush this postseason. They won't be coming after Brady like the Giants did because they don't have the Dline the Giants did. Not even close. They don't even have a Dline that's as good as Baltimore's, Detroit's, or Buffalo's. And we beat all of those teams.

Which is why I love this match up.

Very good observation, but I'm guessing that they shouldn't change up a thing in terms of the arm brace. Not at this point of the season.

I don't know what the future holds for Gronk and that brace, but great suggestion for next season--if needed.

That is a great point. I think it would help.

Guys, on this site has a good chunk of the 2012 game. It is from the stands but it highlights what I think the Pats will do again. The seahawks forced Manning to throw outside and he could not. That is not Brady. That is all he did in this game. Short, sharp throws to the outside.

What you also notice is how good of a run stuffer Spikes was - and also how bad of a player in space he was.

Also, Sherman just shut down Branch, who in all reality, was at his end.

Another things, the Seattle cheerleaders look nice in red boots.

The big thing: Brady's picks were big, the red zone one especially. The Pats dominated that game and really let that game go.
